Volvo Car Corporation Appoints New Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Volvo Car Corporation has appointed Björn Sällström as its new Senior Vice President, Human Resources, based at the company’s head office in Göteborg. Björn Sällström takes over from Peter Bailliere. Björn’s most recent position was with the British company Luvata, active within the metals industry, where he has held the position of personnel manager since 2005.Björn Sällström was previously personnel manager for Mölnlycke Health Care, with its head office in Göteborg, between 2000 and 2005, and has held senior personnel positions at a number of well-known Swedish companies such as Cardo, Frigoscandia, Kapp-Ahl and SAS.
Björn Sällström succeeds Peter Bailliere who has been SVP, Human resources at Volvo Car Corporation since 2003 and who has had a number of positions within the area of human resources at Volvo Car Corporation since 1987.
Björn Sällström takes up his position on March 1, 2007.
