Werner Eichhorn to Become Volkswagen's Head of Sales Germany
Wolfsburg, 09 April 2008 - Werner Eichhorn (45) has been appointed Head of Sales Germany at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand effective June 1, 2008. He succeeds Stefan Müller (47), who left the company on March 31, 2008.
Eichhorn joined Volkswagen in Wolfsburg as an apprentice industrial clerk in 1979. Following posts as a marketing planner and regional sales manager for exports at Volkswagen AG he assumed responsibility for sales control at Audi in Ingolstadt in 1993. In this position he was latterly responsible for sales throughout Europe and in China.
Eichhorn is currently Managing Director of the Audi Division in China. Until Eichhorn moves to Wolfsburg, Martin Stangenberg (56), regional manager for sales in Germany, will continue to perform the duties of Head of Sales Germany in an interim capacity.
