New Appointments for Volkswagen Representative Offices in Berlin and Brussels
- Maaß assumes responsibility in Berlin and Klitz moves to Brussels
Wolfsburg, 14 November 2007 - With effect from December 1, 2007, Hans-Christian Maaß (57) will assume responsibility for the Representative Office of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft in Berlin.
Following senior posts in the field of communications and public affairs with various companies, the former Spokesperson for the Federal Ministry of Transport will now coordinate activities to represent the political interests of the Volkswagen Group in the German capital.
Christof-Sebastian Klitz (48), who currently manages business at the Group Representative Office in Berlin, will assume responsibility for the Group Representative Office in Brussels at the turn of the year. The lawyer has been active for Volkswagen in various functions since 1999 and previously also held posts in the General Directorate of the Federation of German Industry and the regulation strategy division of Deutsche Telekom.
Dr. Hermann Meyer, the incumbent head of the Brussels office, will move to Group headquarters in Wolfsburg at the end of the year to assume new responsibilities in the External Relations department.
Maaß and Klitz report direct to Stephan Grühsem, General Representative of Volkswagen AG and Head of Group Communications, External Relations and Investor Relations.
