SACRAMENTO, CA, May 29, 2008 -- The California Air Resources Board is offering a $1,000 rebate towards the purchase of a ZAP Xebra electric car and truck from ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB).

ZAP Xebra Electric Trucks: California is giving $1,000 electric car rebates to buyers of the ZAP Xebra sedan and truck. The Xebra sedan and truck are a city-speed vehicle designed to meet today's need for economical, gas-free driving.

ZAP Electric Car Orders Grow to $6.8 Million

SANTA ROSA, CA, May 12, 2008 -- Record gas prices are driving more consumers to seek electric transportation, says industry pioneer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB). The Northern California Company reported that as of April 8, 2008 it had $6.8 million in backlog orders for the ZAP Xebra electric sedan and pickup from auto-dealer purchase contracts.

The $6.8 million backlog in dealer purchase contracts surpasses ZAP's sales for all of 2007 and are based on a delivery schedule over a 12-month period. The backlog for ZAP's consumer products on the same date was $712,000, including sales for the Zapino and ZAPPY3 scooters, ATVs, Recharge-It-All battery systems and others.

SANTA ROSA, CA, Feb 1, 2008 -- ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB) added six new electric car dealers at its first dealer sales and service training of 2008 yesterday, collecting signed purchase orders totaling 614 Xebra sedans and trucks.

Electric car maker ZAP said its first dealer training seminar of 2008 was its largest ever. Six more dealers signed purchase orders totaling 720 Xebra electric sedans and trucks. ZAP has 54 sales and service centers in the United States and plans to exhibit this month at the world's largest dealer conference, NADA 2008, February 9-12 in San Francisco.

Lithium Balance Develops Battery Management Technology for ZAP

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, Dec. 10, 2007 -- Electric car scientists at Lithium Balance in Copenhagen and ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB) of California announced results of their latest tests of a new battery management system for lithium batteries, reporting that the ZAP Xebra pickup traveled 152 miles on a single charge.

Electric car scientists extended the range of an electric car by five times to 152 miles using lithium-ion batteries and a proprietary battery management system. California's ZAP and Denmark's Lithium Balance plan to offer an upgrade for the ZAP Xebra pickup in the near future.

PETALUMA, CA , November 13, 2007 -- It will be a green holiday this season for United Parcel Service (UPS), who rolled out a small parcel delivery service this week in Northern California using 42 electric cars and trucks from ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP).

The UPS branch in Petaluma, California has leased an initial fleet of 42 ZAP Xebra® electric city cars and trucks for their small parcel deliveries. This is the first time that UPS has used electric city-speed vehicles for this purpose.

Electric car factory opens in China for ZAP Xebra

LING XIAN, CHINA and SANTA ROSA, CA, October 24, 2007) -- Electric car pioneer ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP) announced today that a new factory in the Shandong Province of China has rolled out the first of its Xebra® sedans and pickups.

The new factory has the capacity to produce up to 4,000 vehicles per month, according to officials from ZAP and Shandong Jindalu Vehicle Company, Ltd. The modernized factory provides a more productive working environment with state-of-the-art automation as well as vehicle research, development and production capabilities.

Electric Green Showroom Sells New Electric Car, Truck, Scooter

The San Mateo County-based auto dealership specializes in practical, affordable electric transportation, including trucks, all-terrain vehicles, motor scooters, people movers and a new electric car now on sale from Bay Area electric car manufacturer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB - News).

San Mateo Mayor Tom Davids came out for the opening. Davids said he already owns a ZAP, an original 90's era ZAPPY electric scooter he and his grandchildren still use today. He expressed interest in the Zapino electric scooter and ZAP truck.
