YONKERS, N.Y., May 5, 2008 /PRNewswire - USNewswire/ -- The Volkswagen Rabbit emerged as Consumer Reports' top-rated affordable hatchback following tests of six vehicles for the June issue. The VW Rabbit outpointed CR's previously top-rated hatchback, the Mazda3.

Volkswagen Reports Sales for January 2008
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 1, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced January 2008 sales of 14,411 units, a 13.2 percent decrease from the January 2007 total of 16,610 vehicles.
Reflecting its all-season capabilities, the hardtop convertible Volkswagen Eos posted a 25 percent increase over January 2007. Similarly, the entry-level Volkswagen Rabbit and value priced VW New Beetle coupe each posted 10.8 percent increases over January 2007 levels.
