Munich/Cernobbio, 04/28/2008 -- To mark the 30th anniversary of the BMW M1 super sports car, BMW Group Design is presenting a homage to this legendary model as part of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2008. The BMW M1 designed by Giorgio Giugiaro was a car of superlatives and a highly emotive vehicle that was uncompromisingly primed for the race track.

This design study, inspired by the BMW M1 and BMW Turbo, embraces tradition and modernism to give an insight into BMW's own vision of a historically inspired automotive future.

Saab 9-X BioHybrid and Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept Already Honored in Geneva and Detroit

Cernobbio, Italy ,2008-04-24 -- Saab 9-X BioHybrid and Cadillac CTS Coupe have been invited to participate this weekend in Europe’s most prestigious design award of the year at Villa d’Este.

The two GM cars will be among a dozen concept and prototype vehicles which are in the running for the “Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Design Award,” which is voted by the public at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and the Villa Erba in the town of Cernobbio on Lake Como.
