Frankfurt, October 15, 2007 -- Siemens VDO is expanding its aftermarket range through the addition of the SIDIS MB diagnosis system. The system can examine more than 15,000 control units from well-known automotive manufacturers in more than 800 vehicle types to detect errors.

Without electronics, vehicles would be nowhere near as safe, fuel-efficient, and environmentally friendly as they are today. Regular service and maintenance ensure that they also remain this way. The electronics in the vehicle do, however, pose severe challenges to the staff and equipment at workshops and customer service centers. State-of-the-art diagnosis systems are an indispensable aid to day-to-day work in this field.
