Operating with regular unleaded gasoline, this sophisticated engine produces power similar to many V-8s, but with significantly less fuel consumption. The direct-injection technology contributes to a 15-percent increase in horsepower; 8-percent increase in torque, and 3-percent improvement in brake-specific fuel consumption.
