Tenneco Announces Results of 2008 Annual Shareholder Meeting

Lake Forest, Illinois, May 6, 2008 – Tenneco Inc. (NYSE:TEN) announced at its annual meeting today that its shareholders re-elected Charles W. Cramb, Dennis J. Letham, Frank E. Macher, Roger B. Porter, David B. Price, Jr., Gregg M. Sherrill, Paul T. Stecko, Mitsunobu Takeuchi and Jane L. Warner to the company’s board of directors.

The directors have been re-elected to serve a term expiring at the 2009 annual meeting of stockholders. Stockholders also ratified the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as independent public accountants for 2008.

Tenneco Announces Potential Purchase of Delphi Assets

Lake Forest, Illinois, March 10, 2008 – Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN) today announced that it has entered into a purchase agreement with Delphi Automotive Systems LLC to acquire certain ride control assets and inventory at Delphi’s Kettering, Ohio facility. This purchase agreement has been filed with the bankruptcy court as part of Delphi’s bankruptcy court proceedings.

The closing of this purchase is subject to certain closing conditions, including bankruptcy court approval.

As part of the purchase agreement, Tenneco would pay approximately $10 million for existing ride control components inventory and approximately $9 million for certain machinery and equipment. Tenneco would also lease a portion of the Kettering facility from Delphi.

Tenneco Wins New Emission Control Business with Ford Motor Company

Lake Forest, Illinois, February 11, 2008 – Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN) today announced that the Ford Motor Company awarded Tenneco new hot-end emission control business on vehicles launching in model-year 2009 and 2010.

Tenneco's New Contracts Add Approximately $11 Million in Incremental Revenue

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire - FirstCall/ -- Tenneco (NYSE:TEN) announced today that it has won new aftermarket business in the third quarter, which in total will generate nearly $11 million in incremental revenue. The contracts include new ride control business with an affiliate of one of Tenneco's largest customers in North America. This new business was previously serviced by a competitor. In addition, the company won business with four new customers for ride and/or emission control products.
