Tata Motors Increases Prices of Passenger Vehicles

2nd June, 2008 -- Tata Motors today announced an increase in the prices of its passenger vehicles. The increase is effective from today, June 2, 2008.

The increase on the Tata Indica, the Tata Indigo and the Tata Indigo Marina is in the range of 1 to 2%. The increase on the Tata Sumo and the Tata Safari is in the range of 2 to 3%.

The price increase was necessitated due to the continuous increase in input costs.

January 9, 2008 -- Tata Motors is showcasing a new range of 17 models in cars, utility vehicles, trucks and buses at the 5200-square metre Tata-Fiat pavilion, its largest ever presence at the Auto Expo, being held in New Delhi from January 11-17, 2008.

Tata Motors Reports Total Vehicle Sales for November 2007

December 3, 2007 -- Tata Motors reported a total sale of 46,947 vehicles (including exports) for the month of November 2007, a decline of 4% compared to 49,061 vehicles sold in November last year. Cumulative sales for the company at 3,59,251 nos., grew by 0.3% over last year. The domestic market continues to be sluggish, due to the high interest rate regime, continuing to affect retails.

Commercial Vehicles
The company’s sales of commercial vehicles in November 2007 in the domestic market were 26,895 nos., a growth of 4% compared to 25,793 vehicles sold in November last year. M&HCV sales stood at 14,426 nos, a growth of 0.2% over November 2006, while LCV sales were 12,469 nos., a growth of 10% over November 2006.

The domestic market continues to be sluggish, due to the high interest rate regime, continuing to affect retails.
