Nissan Presents ’Nissan Technology Square’ in Taiwan
Exhibition Scheduled to Tour Throughout Asia
TOKYO, May 8, 2008 — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Yulon Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. will present the first “NISSAN TECHNOLOGY SQUARE” event at the Eslite Bookstore in Taipei City, Taiwan. The public automotive technologies showcase opens today and runs through May 15.
After completing its run in Taiwan, the Nissan Technology Square will visit several cities throughout the year in multiple markets, including India, Indonesia, Singapore and other locations to be determined.
Yulon Nissan Motor Starts Export of Nissan Cabstar to Mexico
TAIPEI, Taiwan, Jan.15, 2008 – Yulon Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.*1 announced today that it has begun production and export of the “Nissan Cabstar”, light duty truck, to Mexico. This marks the first time for the Taiwanese domestic auto industry to export 3.5t class light commercial vehicles to Mexico.
Before production started in Taiwan, Cabstar was initially sourced for Mexico from Nissan’s Light Duty Truck plant in Avila (Spain) through batch production since September 2007. The initial production at Avila allowed Nissan to start sales of the new Nissan Cabstar in Mexico as early as autumn of last year, and allowed Nissan to meet the strong demand from customers in that market.
Nissan Inaugurates New Design Studio in Taiwan
TAIWAN (November 5, 2007) - The new Yulon Nissan Design Center (YNDC) opened today in San-Yi, joining a global stable of Nissan studios responsible for bringing top talent and the best in creative design thinking to the company's global products.
YNDC joins sister studios in Japan (Atsugi and Harajuku), the United States of America (San Diego and Detroit) and United Kingdom (London). Combined, these design studios are charged with working cooperatively and competitively to create next-generation and all-new vehicle designs. YNDC will add value to the international design group through its unique design vision.
2008 Nissan Livina Series Launched in Taiwan
Global car will continue push into new markets, including Malaysia and the Philippines
TOKYO (October 22, 2007) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today confirmed that the Nissan Livina and Grand Livina both launched this weekend in Taiwan. The Grand Livina also will be introduced in South Africa next month, followed in January 2008 by the Livina. With the introduction of the Livina series in these markets, Nissan is growing its model lineup to include the MPV and compact hatchback segments.
Toyota Models Rank Highest in Three Taiwan Initial Quality Award Segments
J.D. Power Asia Pacific Reports: Initial Vehicle Quality Records Industry-Wide Improvement in 2007
SINGAPORE: 8 October 2007 — Toyota ranks highest in initial quality in three of eight segments, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2007 Taiwan Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) released today. Honda, Hyundai, Lexus, Nissan and Suzuki each rank highest in one vehicle segment.
