PPG Launches ‘Green’ ZIRCOBOND Pretreatment

TROY, Mich., Jan. 15, 2008 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) has announced the launch of a new, environmentally-responsible automotive pretreatment technology at CAMI Automotive’s production facility in Ingersoll, Ont., Canada. CAMI, an independently incorporated joint venture of Suzuki Motor Corporation and General Motors of Canada Ltd., began processing vehicles with Zircobond pretreatment in early January and moved to full-scale production Jan. 14.

Metal pretreatment cleans and provides corrosion protection to automotive body surfaces. However, traditional zinc-phosphate pretreatment processes generate sludge containing heavy metals such as nickel, zinc and manganese, making them subject to environmental regulations.

Suzuki Auto Announces Plans for Midsize Pickup Truck Built by Nissan North America

Brea, Calif., December 11, 2007 – American Suzuki Motor Corporation today announced that its midsize pickup truck will be produced by Nissan North America, Inc. The truck will be based on Nissan’s Frontier midsize pickup and built at the company’s manufacturing facility in Smyrna, Tenn.

Production of the pickup truck will begin in the fall of 2008. The vehicle will be marketed solely by Suzuki in North America.

In 2006, Suzuki and Nissan announced an agreement to expand the scope of their business collaboration. The pickup is part of that agreement, which also included the supply by Suzuki to Nissan of Alto minicars in Japan.

TOKYO: 13 November 2007 — Lexus ranks highest in satisfying customers with the dealer service experience, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2007 Japan Customer Service Index (CSI) StudySM released today.

Now in its sixth year, the study identifies five factors that measure customer satisfaction with service performed at manufacturer-authorized dealer facilities. In order of importance, they are: service representative; service costs and timing; service quality; service initiation; and service accessibility.

Maruti Second Quarter 2007 Net Profit Up 27 Percent to Rs. 4,665 Million

New Delhi, October 29, 2007 -- Maruti Suzuki India Limited registered Total Income of Rs. 47,358 million (Net of Excise) during the second quarter (Q2) of the fiscal (July-September 2007), a growth of 33.7 percent over the same period last year.

Profit Before Tax went up to Rs. 6,841 million during Q2 of 2007-08, a growth of 28 percent over same period last year. Net Profit stood at Rs. 4,665 million, up 27 percent over July-September 2006.

First half With this, Total Income (Net of Excise) for the first half of the fiscal (April-September 2007) was Rs. 88,899 million, a growth of 30.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Net Profit stood at Rs. 9,661 million, up 31.1 percent over April-September 2006.
