PITTSBURGH, June 19, 2008 – PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) has presented eight Excellent Supplier Awards for superior performance in 2007.

Award criteria included product quality, delivery, documentation, innovation, responsiveness, continuous improvement and participation in PPG’s Supplier Added Value Effort ($AVE) program.

Kathleen McGuire, PPG vice president, purchasing and distribution, praised the performance of the award-winning suppliers. “Their products, services, reliability, innovation and overall value in 2007 were outstanding,” she said. “We consider them invaluable business partners who provide a significant competitive advantage to PPG.”

On an annual basis, PPG purchases nearly $7 billion in materials and services from thousands of suppliers.

Ford Motor Company purchased a record $4.2 billion in products and services from its minority suppliers in 2007

DEARBORN, Mich., June 2, 2008 – Ford Motor Company North America set a new record in purchasing spend from minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE) in 2007. Ford purchased a record $4.2 billion in goods and services from tier one minority-owned suppliers and broke through the billion-dollar barrier by spending $1.2 billion with tier one women-owned suppliers.

Highlights:
* Purchases from women-owned suppliers broke the billion dollar barrier with a record $1.2 billion in 2007.
* Combined tier one spend with minority and women suppliers totaled $2.1 billion.

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., May 12, 2008 — Tarik Everett, a senior of his class at Flint Central Academy, was named Visteon Corporation’s (NYSE: VC) Visteon Scholar at the National Association of Black Automotive Suppliers’ (NABAS) 20th Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet on May 6 at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Mich.

Henry S. Martin Jr., associate director of Visteon’s supplier diversity development program, presented the $22,500 scholarship award to Tarik. This is the fourth year Visteon has supported the NABAS Scholarship Fund.

October 17, 2007 -- SEOUL — Today Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue announced that Korean automotive supplier Dongwon Autopart Technology will locate a facility in Meriwether County to serve the Kia Motors plant under construction in West Point. The company will create 300 jobs and invest $30 million in the facility. Governor Perdue announced the project from Seoul, where he met with Kia suppliers as part of an economic development mission to Japan and Korea.
