London, Great Britain, 07 July 2008 -- A total of 3,500 kilometres, the equivalent of over half a season's mileage, is the distance covered to date by the new A1GP World Cup of Motorsport Powered by Ferrari car. The latest series of tests for the car were in Spain with five days at the Guadix Circuit near Granada followed by three days at Jerez.

20 June 2008 -- The General Assembly of ANFAC, the Spanish automakers association, appointed Francisco J. García Sanz, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft with responsibility for Procurement, as its President when it met yesterday in Madrid.

The term of office is two years. García Sanz is the first representative of the Volkswagen Group to hold the most senior office of the association representing the Spanish automotive industry. He takes over from Juan Antonio Fernandez Sevilla, who had been President since 2004.

Applying Innovative Technology In Cars

Martorell, 29-05-2008 -- Fewer road accidents, greater traffic efficiency and safer, more comfortable motoring are the objectives of the eCar Project jointly developed by the SEAT Technical Centre and Telefónica España through the application of Information and Communication Technologies in cars.

Standards and programs agreed at international Group conference

Wolfsburg / Pamplona, 26 May 2008 - The Volkswagen Group is orienting its human resources work worldwide to the company’s growth strategy. Some 70 HR managers from all of the Group’s sites met at the Pamplona plant to discuss this issue.

Dr. Horst Neumann, member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft with responsibility for Human Resources, commented: “Volkswagen is en route to becoming a top employer. That also involves outstanding HR work devoted to competence development and the personal mentoring of all employees.”

Concrete standards and programs to that end were agreed in Pamplona.

Valencia, 18th May 2008 -- Andy Priaulx (GB) of BMW Team UK claimed his second podium result in this year’s FIA World Touring Car Championship. At Valencia’s “Circuit de la Comunitat” he finished third in the sixth round of the season. In the first race of the day the reigning World Champion finished seventh.

BMW Team Germany driver Jörg Müller (DE) also collected points at what was the series’ maiden event on European soil in 2008. His team-mate Augusto Farfus (BR) and BMW Team Italy-Spain’s Alessandro Zanardi (IT) and Félix Porteiro (ES), however, failed to make it into the top-eight in either race. Victory in the two sprint races at the 4.005-kilometre track went to Chevrolet’s Robert Huff (GB) and Alain Menu (CH).

May 20, 2008 -- The guests at this gala function were able to admire Bentley’s latest models, most notably the complete Continental series - featuring the Continental GTC Convertible - and the exclusive Azure from the Arnage family. The reception was held at Hotel Alfonso XIII, later the guests were taken by horse-drawn carriage to dinner at Casa de Salinas.
