For 2009, the Saturn Aura midsize sport sedan demonstrates that fuel efficiency-minded customers don’t have to sacrifice uplevel amenities such as a six-speed automatic transmission, leather seating, alloy wheels and Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity, as a new 2.4L four-cylinder Aura XR model joins the Saturn family.

Saturn also has good news for those seeking to go further on a gallon of gas: Both Aura XE and XR four-cylinder models achieve EPA fuel economy of 33 mpg highway and 26 mpg city/highway combined, the segment’s highest non-hybrid fuel economy.
General Motors Reports 270,423 Deliveries in February 2008
2008-03-03, DETROIT - GM dealers in the United States delivered 270,423 vehicles in February, a decrease of 13 percent compared with an unusually strong February last year.

New XE model equipped with 2.4L DOHC Ecotec I-4 engine
The Saturn Aura midsize sport sedan is the 2007 North American Car of the Year, and Saturn intends to build on this critical success for Aura’s second model year. For 2008, Saturn expands on Aura’s appeal by adding a four-cylinder model for buyers who desire Aura’s styling panache but want the economy of a four-cylinder engine under the hood.
The new base XE features GM’s proven 2.4-liter dual overhead cam Ecotec I-4 engine.
