The newest product of Saab’s aggressive and unprecedented product development program, the 9-7X has its sights aimed squarely on the burgeoning midsize SUV market in North America. The U.S. mid-luxury SUV segment increased from approximately 50,000 units a year in 1997 to 401,000 units in 2003, and by the end of 2006, sales are projected to exceed 500,000 units.
