Remuneration Offer as Formulated by Dacia's Management Board

April 9, 2008 -- The Commission set to negotiate the Collective Work Contract between the Management and the Union, met today, 8th April 2008. The Management came with a new offer on pay rise.

Dacia workers will benefit a gross monthly rise of 210 lei, as of 1st January 2008 and another 90 lei, as of 1st September 2008.

In addition to the pay rise, the employees will receive a 1128-lei bonus, for the 2007 results, to be paid in 94- lei gross monthly brackets, as of 1st January 2008.

The TESA personnel will receive a 13% pay rise from the gross basic salary, made up of a general rise and an individual rise. The TESA personnel will equally receive a bonus for the 2007 results, to be paid as a one-bracket individual salary.

Remuneration Offer as Formulated by Dacia’s Management Board

March 26, 2008 -- During the round of negotiations held today, 26th March 2008, the Management Board of Dacia offered strikers a gross 250 lei/ month-increase, or a net 171 lei/ month-increase. 90% of the proposed raise will be applicable as of 1st January 2008.

The offer translates as:
1) A 20%-increase of a gross minimum salary and a 16.7%-increase of the workers’ gross average salary.
Consequently, a qualified worker with a current gross minimum salary of 778 lei will receive, according to the new offer, a gross basic salary of 934 lei.
For a worker with an average salary of 1000 lei, the proposed raise would bring him 1156 lei/ month.
The rest of the remuneration elements (the seniority benefit, the night work benefit, etc) will increase accordingly.

March 21, 2008 -- During negotiations of the 2008 Collective Labour Contract, the Management Board of Dacia came with a serious offer as regards the increase in the salaries of the company’s employees, in line with the current economic and social state of affairs in Romania. The Logan range of vehicles also brought benefits to all the employees working for Dacia. The average salary at Dacia is superior to the average salary at national economy level, at industry and industrial branch level. The claims of the Dacia Union are not realistic.

Ford Craiova Takes Its Place in Ford Motor Company Manufacturing Plant Network

Craiova/Cologne, March 21, 2008 – Ford Motor Company today became the majority owner of the former Automobile Craiova vehicle manufacturing complex in Romania.

At a ceremony in the plant, the documents completing the sale were signed by the chief negotiators for each side – Mr. Sebastian Vladescu, President of the privatisation committee for Automobile Craiova and Mr. Lyle Watters, Director of Business Strategy, Ford of Europe.

Traian Basescu, President of Romania, Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, Prime Minister of Romania and John Fleming, President and CEO, Ford of Europe were in Craiova today to witness the ceremony.

"I am extremely proud to be able to welcome Ford Craiova into the global Ford family," John Fleming told a gathering of the company's newest workers.

Ford of Europe Welcomes Ratification of Special Privatisation Law in Romanian Parliament

COLOGNE/ BUCHAREST, March 4, 2008 - Ford of Europe welcomes today's ratification of the special law in the Romanian Parliament that allows Ford to take over Automobile Craiova. This is the next big step to finalize the company's purchase of the Romanian vehicle manufacturing facility.

This morning President and CEO of Ford of Europe, John Fleming, and Romanian Prime Minister, Calin Popescu Tariceanu, met at the Geneva Motor Show. John Fleming walked the Romanian Prime Minister through the Ford stand and they took the opportunity to discuss the next steps necessary to complete the transaction.

Ford of Europe Welcomes Early European Commission Decision on Automobile Craiova Privatisation

COLOGNE/ BUCHAREST, February 27, 2008 – Ford of Europe welcomes today's announcement by the European Commission that it has closed its investigation into the privatisation process of Automobile Craiova in Romania, thus clearing the way for Ford's purchase of the vehicle manufacturing facility.

The purchase of the plant will be finalised following the ratification of the special law for the privatisation of Automobile Craiova which is before the Romanian Parliament. The special law is expected to be ratified on March 4, 2008.

Dacia Warns on Individuals Trying to Fraud People on Behalf of the Company

February 12, 2008 -- Dacia draws the attention on posters disseminated throughout municipalities Craiova and Targu Mures, whereby owners of cars manufactured between 1970-1990 would receive important sums of money in exchange of their used cars. The actions is said to be intiated by Dacia, in collaboration with the Romanian Government.

In reply to the information presented above, Dacia would like to settle the following:

1. No such project is organized by Dacia.

2. The address mentioned in the poster is not valid.

3. Dacia informed the police on such action, intended to deceive the potential victims, apart from representing disloyal competition towards Dacia, with serious consequences on the company’s brand image.

ArvinMeritor Announces New Facility's Start of Production in Salonta, Romania

SALONTA, Romania (Jan. 31, 2008) — ArvinMeritor, Inc. (NYSE: ARM) announced today the start of production at a new Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) facility in Salonta, Romania.

This new plant, which occupies approximately 5,400 square metres of manufacturing space, will supply window regulators, cables, latches and actuators directly to Dacia, the largest vehicle manufacturer in Romania and part of the Renault Nissan group.
