They were the lucky winners of a raffle which had taken place at the “Bietigheim Wonderland”, an event held in Bietigheim on May 30 and 31, 2008.

Porsche shows Newest Variants at Auto China 2008

Stuttgart/Beijing, 4/17/2008 -- At the automotive exhibition Auto China 2008, which begins in Beijing on Sunday, April 20, 2008, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Shortfall of about 800 vehicles can be made good

2/29/2008, Stuttgart -- Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, will be starting production of the 911 series again next Monday, March 3, at the main factory in Zuffenhausen. Production was stopped last Monday following a deflagration that occurred in the paint shop, in which a PVC fusion oven was badly damaged. The material damage, amounting to several hundred thousand Euros, is largely covered by insurance.

The causes of the accident have now been identified. External experts have ascertained that the gas escape was due to a technical defect. An examination of the other ovens has shown that they are in perfect working order and fully functional.

The most powerful race car based on the Porsche 911, which last year scored wins at the 24 hour races of Le Mans and Spa as well as overall victory at the Nuerburgring 24 hours, competes in the GT2 class at international long distance races. The most distinguishing feature of the new GT3 RSR is the front end which received major improvements to the aerodynamics. The majority of innovations however are hidden under the weight-optimised body.
