Wolfsburg, 17 June 2008 -- On Monday, representatives from Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft went to the Auschwitz Memorial site to officially present a T5 Caravelle to the International Auschwitz Committee. The vehicle will be used at the memorial to drive around the youngsters working there to help maintain the site, as well as being put to other valuable uses. Among the young people there are Volkswagen apprentices and management trainees.

Volvo Cars Is a Favourite Among Polish Customers

What is more, Volvo Car's Polish workshops are recognised as offering the best service with the highest quality. All according to a reader survey in the "Auto Świat" motoring weekly.
The National Auto Test competition is held annually by the motoring magazine "Auto Świat", which is the Polish edition of "Auto Bild". The readers answer a highly detailed questionnaire on the Internet and share their opinions on their cars as well as car ownership experiences.
More than 18,000 people took part in this year's survey. Volvo Car Poland's results indicate a high level of customer satisfaction, at 86.61 points out of a possible 100.
BorgWarner to Build 24th Production Plant in Europe
BorgWarner Breaks Ground for Turbocharger Operation in Poland
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 25, 2008 /PRNewswire - FirstCall/ -- BorgWarner broke ground for a new production facility in Rzeszow, Poland, where it plans to produce an initial 500,000 turbochargers for European car makers beginning in 2009, with expansion in the next two years to produce up to two million units. The location in southeast Poland offers economic advantages and allows BorgWarner to serve vehicle manufacturers in both Western and Eastern Europe. The 54,000-square-foot (5,000-square-meter) operation is expected to create about 200 jobs.
GM, UkrAVTO Begin Chevrolet Production in Poland
2007-11-06, Warsaw -- The first Chevrolet built in the European Union rolled off the assembly line of the FSO (Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych) plant in Warsaw, Poland, today. The small four-door Aveo sedan will be joined by two new hatchback variants in summer 2008. As production increases to approximately 60,000 next year and 100,000 in 2009, the Aveo made-in-Poland will help meet strong demand across Europe. With sales up 32 percent compared to a year ago, Chevrolet is the fastest growing volume brand in Europe.
