Ford Motor Company Launches DSFL in Asia
BANGKOK, Thailand, July 8, 2008 - Ford Motor Company is launching its successful "Driving Skills for Life" program this year in select Asia markets, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. In cooperation with the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation and government agencies in the four ASEAN countries, the program will teach practical skills and training for safe and fuel-efficient driving.
Driving Skills for Life is a free course that mixes classroom learning and practical training to help increase awareness of driving techniques that save fuel. The training is customized in each participating market to reflect the local driving environment and road conditions.

Stuttgart, 5/30/2008 -- Porsche Asia Pacific, a one hundred percent subsidiary of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has founded the first Porsche Training and Recruitment Center Asia in the Philippines, in cooperation with the Don Bosco Technical Institute. Every year, 40 socially under-privileged young people will receive vocational training here as automotive specialists, who can be employed in future in Porsche Centers throughout the Asiatic region.
Ford R.I.D.E. Holds Driving Skills for Life, Driving Camp for Responsible Eco-Driving
May 19, 2008 -- Ford Philippines sustains the momentum of its road safety campaign with the holding of the Ford “Driving Skills for Life” day camp. The whole day Ford driving camp highlights ‘eco-driving,’ a concept from the global Ford Motor Company program which prioritizes the use of ecologically and economically practical techniques for driving.
“In the face of rising fuel costs and growing concern over the environment, the driving camp attendees were taught to become eco-drivers by raising their awareness on the impact of their driving behaviors,” said Ford AVP Cherry Ramirez.
2008 Nissan Livina Series Launched in Taiwan
Global car will continue push into new markets, including Malaysia and the Philippines
TOKYO (October 22, 2007) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today confirmed that the Nissan Livina and Grand Livina both launched this weekend in Taiwan. The Grand Livina also will be introduced in South Africa next month, followed in January 2008 by the Livina. With the introduction of the Livina series in these markets, Nissan is growing its model lineup to include the MPV and compact hatchback segments.
