1891 - 2008, 50 Million Peugeot Vehicles Produced

Paris, Tokyo, June 17, 2008— PSA Peugeot Citroen and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced today that both companies agreed to start a feasibility study on an extended technical collaboration in the field of electric powertrains.

This project, which will run over several months, relates to the development, the manufacture and the use of an electric powertrain for small urban vehicles.

To step up the viability of electric vehicle projects and accelerate market introduction, the companies agreed that cooperation on electric vehicle development and production would be mutually beneficial.

This new agreement reinforces the bonds between the two manufacturers who, a week ago, laid the first stone of their joint Russian factory, in Kaluga (180 km south west of Moscow)

Peugeot puts two Peugeot 908 HDi FAPs on the podium at 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours

2008-06-15 -- The 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours produced one of the most exciting finishes in years and ended with Team Peugeot Total securing its second consecutive second place with the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP in the famous endurance race.

12-06-2008 -- The 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours kicked off this evening with the first of the week’s two qualifying sessions, and the three Peugeot 908 HDi FAPs were immediately on the pace to collect the top three places on the provisional grid. Stéphane Sarrazin was the fastest man on the track today, posting a blistering 3m 18.513s for Team Peugeot Total with the N°8 car. That’s almost four seconds quicker than his best effort during the preliminary practice day earlier in the month (3m 22.222s), as well as a stunning improvement of 7.831s over his pole-winning time for Peugeot in 2007.

Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Racing in 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours

Kaluga, 10 June 2008 — Roland Vardanega, Member of the Managing Board and Executive Vice President, Manufacturing and Components, of PSA Peugeot Citroën and Osamu Masuko, President of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) have officially laid the first foundation stone of their joint plant in Russia, located at Kaluga, 180km south-west of Moscow.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Mr Anatoli Artamonov, Governor of the region of Kaluga, and several hundred guests.

The joint plant held 70% by PSA Peugeot Citroën and 30% by MMC will start producing mid-range (C segment) models, as of 2011, for Peugeot and Citroën and mid-range SUVs for the 3 brands. These models will be destined for the Russian automobile market.

Tokyo, May 19, 2008 — Christian Streiff, Chairman of the Board of PSA Peugeot Citroën and Osamu Masuko, President of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), have signed a joint venture agreement to produce vehicles for 3 brands, Peugeot, Citroën and Mitsubishi in Russia.

The assembly plant will be located on the site of Kaluga, 180 km South-West of Moscow. It will produce mid-range SUVs for Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Citroën brands as well as medium size Peugeot and Citroën vehicles, with an overall installed capacity of 160,000 vehicles. The foundation stone of this future plant will be laid on June 10th 2008 in Kaluga. Production is currently planned for 2011 start-up.

Le Mans Series: 1,000km de Spa- Francorchamps May 11, 2008

2008-05-12 -- Just like the first two rounds of the 2008 Le Mans Series, the 1,000km de Spa-Francorchamps turned out to be yet another fiercely-disputed, drama-filled race. The result saw Team Peugeot Total claim its third success from three starts without suffering the slightest technical problem. Nicolas Minassian, Marc Gené and Jacques Villeneuve shared the winning N°7 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, but the team's other car crashed out shortly after the two-hour mark.

A natural dynamism

Barely six months after its launch, the 2008 Peugeot 308 hatchback range evolves with the arrival of the 1.6 litre THP 128 kW engine (≈ 175 bhp). Available depending on country in Premium Pack (five door) and Féline (three and five door) top of the range finishes, the 308 models powered by this engine will appeal to a very dynamic and demanding clientele in search of driving pleasure but less inclined towards sporty extravagance, excess or ostentation.

2008-04-24 -- As part of the CAP 2010 project and the acceleration of the Marque’s product offer, Mr Jean-Philippe Collin, Director General of Automobiles Peugeot, announced today at the Lisbon Motor Show that the Peugeot 308 RC Z concept car will be going into full production.

The final production model as well as its name will be unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, i.e. two years after the concept car was first presented to the public and will then go on sale in the spring of 2010.

This unique model is one of the first results to come from the CAP 2010 competitive premium strategy.
