Vauxhall / Opel Owners Gain Performance with K&N Air Intake System

1/29/2008 -- K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system for the Opel and Vauxhall European market. The new air intake system (57A-6016) takes advantage of the Apollo, a specially designed K&N air filter enclosure.

The K&N performance air intake kit comes with custom mounting hardware to fit these specific vehicles. The protective shell of the Apollo reduces heat build up and feeds cool free flowing air into the engine to help improve performance.

The 57A-6016 stays securely in place with included stabilizers with brackets. K&N engineers made sure this air intake design provided extra power but kept the cost affordable.

2008-01-09, Zurich -- General Motors (GM) sets all-time sales record in Europe in 2007, with 2,182,000* vehicles, up 179,000 units or 8.9 percent from 2006. The resultant market share of 9.5 percent constitutes a growth of 0.3 point. It is the highest market share for the group since 1999. In the forth quarter of 2007, GM sold a record 528,723 cars and LCVs in Europe, 53,900 vehicles or 11.3 percent above the same period in 2006.

Half a Million New Opel Corsas Already Registered

Rüsselsheim 2007-12-11 -- The 500,000th new Opel Corsa will be registered in December 2007. Since its sales start around 14 months ago, the model has been successfully positioned throughout Europe and continues to lead large markets such as Germany and the United Kingdom.

Opel was able to increase Corsa registrations across Europe in the first 11 months of 2007 by around 50 percent compared to the same last-year period. This puts Opel’s successful model far ahead of other German competitors in the segment, who all had at least 45,000 fewer vehicle registrations than the Opel Corsa.
