The new edition of the successful Zafira was launched in February 2008. It is based on the second Zafira generation, which was launched in summer 2005 and boasts unique technology, an intelligent space concept and distinctive design.

The Zafira’s engine range was expanded by the refined 1.6 ECOTEC gasoline engine with 85 kW/115 hp and two highly economical 1.7 CDTI common-rail turbo-diesels (81 kW/110 hp and 92 kW/125 hp) in 2008.

The 150 hp Turbo version of the Zafira joins the lineup in 2009. The Zafira’s “trademark” is of course on board - unrivalled in terms of its flexibility, the Flex7 seating system enables transformation of the interior in a matter of seconds, without cumbersome removal of the seats.
Opel Adds New Turbo CNG Unit to Pro-Environmental Engine Range
Higher output and torque with lower consumption and emissions
Rüsselsheim, 2008-05-15 -- In 2009, Opel will introduce one new 1.6-liter turbo CNG engine (Compressed Natural Gas) with around 110 kW/150 hp and 210 Nm of torque. Developed by GM Powertrain in Turin, the new unit joins Opel’s current aspirated CNG engine, which has the same displacement and an output of 69 kW/94 hp.

General Motors Announces Two New Fuel Efficient Engines
1.4-Liter Turbo for Global Applications and 1.6-Liter CNG Turbo To Debut in Opel Zafira
Turin, Italy, 2008-05-15 – General Motors Corp. (GM) will introduce, starting in 2009, two new engines with significant fuel efficiency gains for vehicles marketed in Europe and other regions. The announcement was made this week at a GM Powertrain Europe event showcasing its comprehensive line-up of advanced propulsion technologies currently under development.
The 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine will be used in vehicles worldwide starting in 2010. The 1.6-liter Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) turbocharged 4-cylinder engine will be introduced in the Opel Zafira in 2009. Both engines are new variants of GM’s existing engine families used globally.

2007-12-17, Rüsselsheim -- The new 2008 Opel Zafira – available to order now – features an even more attractive look and technology range at no extra cost. The new 85 kW/115 hp 1.6 ECOTEC entry-level model in Opel’s fully variable compact monocab range costs 21,210 euros, for example – exactly the same recommended retail price as the previous 1.6-liter version with 10 hp less.
2008 Opel Agila Mini Monocab Starts from 9,990 Euros
2007-12-12, Rüsselsheim -- Featuring high practicality at an affordable price, the new Opel Agila can now be ordered from 9,990 euros and will be available at dealerships from spring 2008. The new Opel mini monocab offers plenty of feel-good space for family and friends, as well as up to 1050 liters of cargo capacity despite the car’s compact exterior length of 3.74 meters.

Fresh Drive for Opel Monocab Range
2007-12-05 -- Bologna. Opel’s model range at the Bologna Motor Show (December 7 – 16, 2007) features no less than 17 seats and up to 4280 liters of load volume capacity. This is no illusion, but rather the combined characteristics of Opel’s three quick-change artists.
The automaker from Rüsselsheim highlights its monocab designs – body models where the hood and trunk are not visibly separate from the cabin – which enable plenty of interior flexibility. Opel consistently sends a clear signal with these models’ market success and innovative ideas.
