LEXINGTON, Ohio, 07/19/2008 -- Saturday's Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course was setting up to be another David Brabham highlight reel, just like last week's wild Lime Rock Park overall victory, when he grabbed the lead with 90 seconds left in the race.

The popular Aussie racer diced his way through heavy late-race traffic with his bright green, blue and black No. 9 Patrón Highcroft Acura ARX-01b prototype sports car and pressured Romain Dumas for the last 15 minutes of the two-hour, 45-minute feature event at the picturesque 2.25-mile road course near Mansfield, Ohio.

DEARBORN, Mich., July 15 – The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) announced today that Ford Motor Company once again received one of the highest grades awarded on the Economic Reciprocity Initiative (ERI) automotive industry report card. Results of the study were released at the NAACP's 99th Annual Convention, themed Power, Justice, Freedom & The Vote, at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Highlights:
* NAACP votes Ford as one of its top performers on 2008 Economic Reciprocity Initiative report card
* Ford serves as title sponsor of NAACP Convention’s Youth Freedom Fund Dinner for the ninth consecutive year

Ford Motor Company Statement on Cleveland Engine #2

April 18, 2008 -- There was a small fire due to a chemical reaction at Cleveland Engine #2. It was confined to a lab and was put out immediately with a fire extinguisher. There were no injuries and approximately 150 people were sent home as a precautionary measure.

The appropriate chemical cleanup is in process.

Chrysler LLC Invests More Than $27 Million in Toledo Machining Plant

$26.4 million for manufacturing of a new torque converter; $1.5 million for new steering column production

Toledo, Ohio, Jan 21, 2008 - Tom LaSorda, Chrysler LLC Vice Chairman and President, announced today that Chrysler would invest more than $27 million in its Toledo (Ohio) Machining Plant. The plans were revealed during a keynote speech at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting.

Toledo Machining, which currently builds torque converters and steering columns, will divide the investment into two separate parts of the plant: $26.4 million will go toward the manufacturing of a redesigned torque converter for automatic transmissions and an additional $1.5 million will be used for production of a new steering column.

Goodyear Board of Directors Approves Plan to Keep World Headquarters in Akron

Tire company and developer reach tentative agreement to build new headquarters and redevelop old facilities for Akron Riverwalk complex.

AKRON, Ohio, December 5, 2007 – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Board of Directors has approved a plan that, when finalized, will keep the company’s world headquarters in Akron, Ohio.

The company announced the tentative agreement this morning at a joint press conference with representatives from the Industrial Realty Group, the State of Ohio, the City of Akron and Summit County. The press conference was held at Goodyear’s World Technical Center, adjacent to the proposed future site of its new headquarters building.
