At 1,841 vehicles, the number of deliveries to customers in North America lay eleven per cent below last year’s equivalent figures. The new Porsche Cayenne, with its lower-consumption engines, was particularly successful. Since the second Cayenne generation was launched on the market one year ago, the sporting all-terrain vehicle has enjoyed great popularity with customers.

Jim O'Donnell to join BMW's management team; Howard Mosher retires

Woodcliff Lake, NJ, February 8, 2008 -- BMW Group has announced that Jim O'Donnell will join BMW of North America's executive management team as President of BMW of North America, LLC (BMW NA) starting April 1, 2008. He will also assume Howard Mosher's role as Vice President Operations. Howard Mosher will retire on March 31.

NASHVILLE, TN, Feb. 1, 2008 – Gary Frigo, currently managing director, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd., will be appointed regional vice president for Nissan North America’s Northeast region, effective April 1.

Frigo succeeds Al Castignetti, who recently was named vice president and general manager, Nissan Division at NNA’s headquarters in Nashville.

As regional vice president, Frigo will be responsible for managing all aspects of Nissan Division’s Northeast regional operations, including service, sales and parts distribution of Nissan products to 191 dealers in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and eastern Pennsylvania. The Northeast region is based in Somerset, N.J.

20 Million Milestone Coming In 2008

January 11, 2008 - Erlanger, KY - Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA) boosted vehicle and engine production to record levels at its North American plants in 2007. Toyota built 1,671,009 vehicles, an eight percent increase, and 1,571,872 engines, a 10% increase. Gains are largely attributed to Tundra production ramp-up in Texas and Camry production in Indiana.

North American Toyota production began in 1984 and has grown steadily over the years. Toyota's production has increased 39% over the last five years. In addition, this year Toyota will build its 20 millionth vehicle in North America including the 5 millionth Corolla.

Kia Motors America Names Len Hunt New President, CEO

IRVINE, Calif., November 12, 2007 – Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced it will promote Len Hunt to president and chief executive officer. Mr. Hunt has served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for KMA during the past two years, and replaces B.G. Lee who has returned to Korea.

"This decision reflects a solid vote of confidence in the leadership of Len Hunt," said E.S. Chung, president and CEO of Kia Motors Corporation (KMC).
