Nissan Tiida Takes Lights-to-Flag Victory at China Circuit Championship
Round 3 Race Report
June 10, 2008 -- June 8, Beijing Golden Port Circuit Round 3 of the “China Circuit Championship” or “CCC” took place at Beijing’s Golden Port Circuit (1 lap, 2.39kms), continuing the closely-fought battle from the last round in the series. The winner in the 1,600 class was a NISSAN Tiida, run by the DongFeng NISSAN Ghia Team, driver #4Lin Li Feng taking a lights-to-flag victory.
Global Sales of Nissan’s Tiida Top One Million
TOKYO, Apr. 2, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., announced today that cumulative sales of the Nissan Tiida compact car (North American name: Nissan Versa), topped one million in March 2008. This milestone comes just three and a half years after the Nissan Tiida was launched on September 30, 2004.
The Nissan Tiida was initially launched in the Japanese market in September 2004, followed by a rollout to the general overseas markets including China in 2005 with subsequent launches in North America and Europe in 2006 and 2007 respectively. The Tiida has garnered high ratings due to its spacious and modern interior, impressive driving performance and high fuel efficiency which surpasses other vehicles in its class.
Nissan Reports Production, Sales and Export Results for January 2008
TOKYO, February 26, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for January 2008.
1.Production
Nissan’s global production grew 13.8% year-on-year to 316,172 units, making an all-time record for the month of January.
In Japan, the new Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Tiida, new export model Nissan Rogue (launched in September in North America) and new Infiniti EX (launched in December in North America) contributed to increased production. Total domestic production grew 26.1% to 115,748 units, compared to the year prior.
Overseas production rose 7.8% year-on-year to 200,424 units, making a record production month for plants worldwide.
In the US, the Altima coupe contributed to a year-on-year production increase of 5.7% to 63,981 units.
Nissan Releases New Nissan Tiida and Nissan Tiida Latio Compact Vehicles in Japan
TOKYO, Jan. 28, 2008 - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the sales launch of the new Nissan Tiida 5-door hatchback and Nissan Tiida Latio 4-door sedan at dealers across Japan.
Since their debut in 2004, the Nissan Tiida and Nissan Tiida Latio have exceeded customer expectations for compact vehicles – offering a premium-quality, roomy interior and outstanding fuel economy and performance. For 2008, both vehicles have been enhanced inside and out. Key changes include new exterior and interior designs, retuned electric power steering, powertrain enhancements and a new "Plus navi HDD" package, among other improvements.

SHANGHAI, 30 November 2007 —Dongfeng Nissan models rank highest in two of seven vehicle segments, and Tianjin FAW models rank highest in two additional segments, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2007 China Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM released today. FAW-Volkswagen, Guangzhou Toyota and Shanghai GM each rank highest in three other vehicle segments.

BANGKOK: 27 November 2007 — Three Nissan models and two Honda models rank highest in their respective segments in new-vehicle design and performance, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2007 Thailand Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM released today.
Now in its fifth year, the APEAL Study is a consumer-reported measure of what excites and delights owners about their new vehicle’s performance and design during the first two to six months of ownership. Redesigned in 2007, the study is comprised of nearly 100 attributes covering 10 vehicle components: exterior; interior; storage and space; audio/entertainment/navigation; seats; HVAC; driving dynamics; engine/transmission; visibility/driving safety; and fuel economy.
