Nissan Reports May 2008 Production, Sales and Export Results

TOKYO, June 26, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for May 2008.

1. Production

Nissan’s global production in May increased 5.1% year-on-year to 275,918 units.

Export models from Japan such as Nissan Rogue, Nissan Murano, Nissan X-Trail and March boosted domestic production to 100,299 units, exceeding the previous year by 40.3%.

Production outside of Japan dropped 8.1% year-on-year to 175,619 units.

In the U.S., production fell 26.1% to 43,317 units compared to the year prior.

In Mexico, production decreased 4.7% year-on-year to 41,784 units.

Nissan First to Initiate Bio-Ethanol Trials in Japan

Nissan Murano is Japan's first Ministry-authorized E10 vehicle

TOKYO, Feb. 6, 2008 -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced that it will begin bio-ethanol trials through its participation in the Tokachi E10 project. The project, the first of its kind in Japan, aims to test the feasibility of E10 fuel, which contains 10% bio-ethanol mix. Early trials will be conducted in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido, beginning April*1.

Nissan is the first automaker in Japan to come forward with an E10 vehicle fully compliant with the safety, environment and technical guidelines issued by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The >Nissan Murano E10 is officially recognized as Japan's first Ministry-authorized E10 vehicle.

Nissan North America Announces January 2008 Sales

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 1, 2008 /PRNewswire - FirstCall/ -- Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today reported sales of 76,605 units in January, down 7.3 percent from the prior year. Nissan Division sales decreased 7.8 percent over last year. Infiniti Division sales declined 3.6 percent versus the prior year.

NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS
-- Nissan-brand vehicles saw sales of 67,961 units, a 7.8 percent decrease on a daily sales rate basis compared with last year's 73,680 units sold.
-- The Nissan Rogue crossover saw sales of 5,435 units in its fourth month available in the market.
-- The Nissan Versa subcompact experienced a record January with sales of 5,609 units.
-- The all-new 2009 Nissan Murano went on sale this month, priced $1,500 lower on all models vs. its prior generation.

LOS ANGELES (November 14, 2007) – Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO, Nissan Motor Co., today unveiled two all-new 2009 Nissan production vehicles – the Nissan Murano crossover and the Nissan GT-R – at a press conference at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. The second-generation Nissan Murano, which features new exterior and interior designs, along with enhanced performance, goes on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide beginning in January 2008. The Nissan GT-R, which will be available for the first time ever in the United States beginning in June 2008, makes its North American debut at the L.A. Carmaker Will Introduce Nissan Rogue, Nissan Murano, Nissan Altima Models

SEOUL, Oct. 9, 2007 – After introducing its luxury Infiniti automotive brand here two years ago, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (NML), Japan, has unveiled plans to bring the Nissan brand to Korea one year later. The move was announced at a recent press conference here.
