70 Percent of First-Year Allocation Already Sold

Nashville, Tenn., 06.27.2008 -- Nissan announced that deliveries of the all-new 2009 Nissan GT-R are scheduled to begin on Monday, July 7, 2008. More than 1,700 of the exotic 480-horsepower GT-R supercars, or approximately 70 percent of the first year allocation for the United States market, have already been spoken for since the announcement of a pre-sale ordering program last January.

SUPER GT 2008 Round 4 Race Report

June 23, 2008 -- On the outskirts of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, Sepang International Circuit (1 lap – 5.542kms) played host to Round 4 of the SUPER GT series. Starting from a fourth-place qualifying result, the WOODONE ADVAN Clarion GT-R (#24 – Joao Paolo de Oliveira/Seiji Ara) took the win. In second place, the pole-starting MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, (#22 – Michael Krumm/Masataka Yanagida) came second, resulting in a resounding 1-2 finish for the NISSAN GT-R.

From four rounds this season, this is the third victory for the NISSAN supercar. KONDO Racing was also victorious last year; that win coming in a NISSAN Z. It is the team’s second successive Sepang victory.

SUPER GT 2008 Round 3 Race Report

May 5, 2008 -- Round 3 of the 2008 SUPER GT took place on May 4th (Sunday) at Fuji Speedway (1 lap: 4.563kms), located in Oyama town, Shizuoka prefecture. All five NISSAN GT-R entries were saddled with added weight for the race in the form of a “Special Performance Adjustment”. The #12 CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R was the top qualifier in 10th, the car completing the race in 9th place.

April 14, 2008 -- April 13th, Okayama International Circuit, Okayama Prefecture, Japan – Sunday April 13th, the 2nd round of the SUPER GT season was held at Okayama International Circuit in Okayama prefecture. XANAVI NISMO GT-R(#23 Satoshi Motoyama / Benoit Treluyer), starting from pole position led the race from the start, accomplishing a pole-to-flag victory, to get their second consecutive win after the first round of the 2008 season. Third in qualifying, Calsonic IMPUL GT-R(#12 Tsugio Matsuda / Sebastien Philippe) finished 2nd, and the NISSAN GT-R took its second consecutive 1-2 finish.

First and Second Place for Nissan at SUPER GT Opening Race at Suzuka

March 16th, Suzuka Circuit, Mie Prefecture, Japan – The XANAVI NISMO GT-R (#23), starting from the second on the grid and driven by Satoshi Motoyama and Benoit Treluyer, won the first race of the 2008 Super GT series in Japan in front of more than 32,000 spectators. Michael Krumm and Masataka Yanagida brought the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R (#22) home in the 2nd place for a historic debut race weekend for Nissan.

TOKYO, March 14, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (NISMO) today announced that the NISSAN GT-R will become the official safety car of the SUPER GT 2008 series, which kicks off this March 16.

A handover of the safety car will be held during the opening of the SUPER GT series (Suzuka Circuit in Mie Prefecture) on Sunday, March 16.

A series of past GT-R racing models will feature in demo-runs in the morning. A line-up of the past GT-R racing cars will also be on display at the Grand Prix Square adjacent to the main stand.

CHICAGO, Feb. 6, 2008 – Nissan today announced that the all-new 2009 Nissan GT-R supercar is now available for pre-ordering at 691 officially certified Nissan dealers across the United States. The 2009 Nissan GT-R, equipped with a 480-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine and advanced 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $69,850 for the GT-R and $71,900 for the GT-R Premium model (exclusive of Destination & Handling).
