Nissan Presents 'Nissan Technology Square' in Indonesia
Exhibition Scheduled to Tour Throughout Asia
TOKYO, August. 19, 2008 -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and PT. Nissan Motor Indonesia will present the "NISSAN TECHNOLOGY SQUARE" event at the Kelapa Gading Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia. The public automotive technologies showcase opens today and runs through August 25.
Indonesia is the second market where we hold this event. After completing its run in Indonesia, the Nissan Technology Square will visit several cities in multiple markets, including Singapore, Malaysia and India, etc.

Renault-Nissan Alliance Invests 1 Billion Rand in New Manufacturing Project in South Africa
PARIS/ TOKYO/ JOHANNESBURG, July 18, 2008 -- The Renault-Nissan Alliance has confirmed the launch of a new manufacturing project in South Africa. Nissan’s manufacturing plant at Rosslyn was identified as having the potential to maximize synergies between Renault and Nissan.
Highlights:
* A new Nissan half-ton Pickup NP200 and Renault Sandero are to be produced at Nissan’s Rosslyn plant (Pretoria). Production of the new Nissan half-ton Pickup NP200 has already started in the plant. The production of Renault Sandero will start in 2009.
* This project marks the first time that a Renault vehicle will be produced in South Africa.
* Some 300 jobs will be created in the plant in 2008.
Nissan Endorsed as 'Eco First' Company
Nissan Green Program 2010 environmental commitments receives stamp of approval from Japan’s Ministry of Environment
TOKYO, July 1, 2008 -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., has been endorsed as an ‘Eco First’ company by Japan’s Ministry of Environment for its environmental commitments set out under the Nissan Green Program 2010. The official certification will be awarded to Nissan by the Minister of Environment, Ichiro Kamoshita, at a ceremony to be held at the Ministry of Environment on July 1.
Established under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment in April 2008, the ECO First program serves to recognize and promote the environmental actions of companies that are compliant with the Kyoto Protocol.
Nissan North America Reports June 2008 Sales Figures
NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 1, 2008 -- Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today reported sales for June of 75,847 units versus 92,213 units a year ago, a decrease of 17.7 percent. Sales of Nissan Division vehicles decreased 18.5 percent, while sales of Infiniti vehicles decreased by 11.9 percent. NNA in the first quarter of the fiscal year sold 252,477 units, versus 256,399 for the April-June 2007 period, a decrease of 1.5 percent.

Nissan Reports May 2008 Production, Sales and Export Results
TOKYO, June 26, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for May 2008.
1. Production
Nissan’s global production in May increased 5.1% year-on-year to 275,918 units.
Export models from Japan such as Nissan Rogue, Nissan Murano, Nissan X-Trail and March boosted domestic production to 100,299 units, exceeding the previous year by 40.3%.

Production outside of Japan dropped 8.1% year-on-year to 175,619 units.
In the U.S., production fell 26.1% to 43,317 units compared to the year prior.
In Mexico, production decreased 4.7% year-on-year to 41,784 units.
Nissan to Grow Car Rental Business in Japan through New Subsidiary
TOKYO, June 26, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Financial Services, Co., Ltd. (NFS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nissan, today announced the decision to separate its car rental business division – Nissan Rent-a-Car - currently under NFS and integrate it under Nissan Network Holdings Co., Ltd.,* by December 2008.
In Japan, the car rental business is expected to grow further, due to the diversification of vehicle ownership patterns. As one of its core businesses, Nissan will establish a dedicated car rental subsidiary to facilitate the expansion of the business through the right allocation of resources and focused management.
NFS will continue to focus on its core business of vehicle leasing and financing.
Nissan Motor Co. Holds 109th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders
YOKOHAMA, June 25, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today held its 109th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders at the National Convention Hall of Yokohama. The meeting lasted for 2 hours 31 minutes starting from 10:00 JST and concluded at 12:31 JST. A total of 2034 shareholders attended the meeting.
President and CEO Carlos Ghosn delivered an address to the shareholders, reporting on the company’s fiscal year 2007 sales and financial performance, outlook for 2008, and the strategic vision for the next five years under the Nissan GT 2012 mid-term business plan.
Nissan proposed a 20-yen-per-share year-end dividend, giving a full-year dividend of 40 yen per share for FY2007.

Nissan Publishes Its 2008 Sustainability Report
TOKYO, June 24, 2008 -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. will publish its 2008 Sustainability Report on June 25, after the conclusion of its 109th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders. The fifth-edition of the report offers an update of Nissan's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives within the scope of nine key focus areas identified by the company.
The report includes the Nissan CSR Scorecard which tracks the progress made on annual CSR objectives. It also outlines the achievements during fiscal year 2007 and defines new targets for 2008 as part of a roadmap for continued CSR development.
