Top New Zealand Awards for 2008 Subaru Impreza
March 17 , 2008, Australia -- Subaru’s new generation 2008 Subaru Impreza was the big winner at the Automobile Association (AA) Motoring Excellence Awards, New Zealand’s premier motoring awards.
The Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec.R also won the overall Supreme Car of the Year award in Auckland.
Impreza was judged the safest car on New Zealand roads too, with its independent five-star ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program) crashworthiness rating for occupant safety and its top four-star pedestrian protection rating.
To be eligible for the awards, all models in a range had to have the same safety specification, which the Impreza meets, from the entry-level Subaru Impreza 2.0R to the range-topping Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec.R.
A1 Team France Tops Friday Practice in Taupo, New Zealand
18 January 2008, New Zealand - A1 Team France topped the time sheets in the second of today's two free practice sessions at Taupo as all 22 drivers took to the track with biofuel in their tanks, making history at round five of the 2007/08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport season.
Despite not taking part in the rookie session this morning, 25-year-old French driver Loic Duval clocked the best lap of the day, completing the 3.5km circuit in 1m15.545s in glorious sunshine.
GM Holden Backs Australia's World Champs Campaign
2007-10-25 -- GM Holden has reaffirmed its commitment to Australian netball by backing the Australian Netball Team's bid to re-gain the world title at next month's New World Netball World Championships in Auckland.
GM Holden's Executive Director - Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, Mr Alan Batey told hundreds of netball supporters at today's Australian Team launch in Melbourne's Federation Square that Holden was proud to support Australia's quest to become the 2007 world champions.
"We are delighted to continue our support of Australian netball though the national team as they take on the leading nations at the forthcoming World Championships," Mr Batey said.

BANGKOK, Thailand, October 9, 2007 – Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motor Corporation today announced plans to invest more than US$500 million in a new, highly-flexible small passenger car plant at AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) – the successful joint-venture of the two global automotive leaders. Senior executives from Ford and Mazda made the announcement at a press conference in Bangkok.
