Exclusive Opportunity to See Collegiate Advanced Technology Vehicles Equipped with Biodiesel, Ethanol and Hydrogen in Action

2008-05-07 -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and General Motors (GM) will host a behind-the-scenes opportunity to see the vehicles from the collegiate engineering competition Challenge X: Crossover to Sustainable Mobility in action.

The event is May 15, at Old Bridge Township Motorsports Park and is a stop on a road rally from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. Seventeen Chevrolet Equinoxes have been re-engineered by student teams using a range of cutting-edge clean vehicle technologies such as hybrid, plug-in or fuel cell propulsion systems. The vehicles are powered by alternative fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol and hydrogen.

New York Metro Dealers Load $20,000 Worth of Toys for Tots in their Motorized Sleighs

2007-11-29, East Rutherford, N.J., -- Local Chevrolet dealers unwrapped 77 of their brand-new, red Malibu cars and packed them with toys to spread holiday cheer.

Chevy dealers from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut helped out local families by donating nearly $20,000 worth of gifts during a one-of-a-kind toy caravan today.

"Chevrolet and its dealers are celebrating the arrival of our all-new midsize car, the Malibu," said David Klemm, Chevrolet's Northeast executive sales manager. "This event gave dealers a chance to drive the new models -- and to fill the hearts of children in their communities. It's the best kind of celebration."
