Tata Motors reveals a comfortable, safe, all-weather car, high on fuel efficiency & low on emissions

January 10, 2008 -- Mr. Ratan N. Tata, Chairman of the Tata Group and Tata Motors, today unveiled the Tata ‘NANO’, the People’s Car from Tata Motors that India and the world have been looking forward to. A development, which signifies a first for the global automobile industry, the People’s Car brings the comfort and safety of a car within the reach of thousands of families. The People’s Car will be launched in India later in 2008.

Starting in 2010 Volkswagen will be manufacturing up to 110,000 cars per year
Wolfsburg/New Delhi, 09 January 2008 - Today, at the Auto Expo 2008 in New Delhi Volkswagen is once again setting off new fireworks. Among those at the starting line are two absolute highlights: the UP! concept car and the newly developed Tiguan SUV. Europe’s largest carmaker is paving the way for a large model offensive in India to establish its presence in the market. “Starting 2010, our plant in Pune will be able to manufacture up to 110,000 cars”, says Dr. Jochem Heizmann, board member for vehicle production at the Volkswagen Group.

January 9, 2008 -- Tata Motors is showcasing a new range of 17 models in cars, utility vehicles, trucks and buses at the 5200-square metre Tata-Fiat pavilion, its largest ever presence at the Auto Expo, being held in New Delhi from January 11-17, 2008.

Tata Motors’ People’s Car to be unveiled on January 10, 2008

December 19, 2007 -- Tata Motors and Fiat India Automobile Private Limited are participating jointly in the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi, beginning on January 9, 2008, with a pavilion spread over 5,200 square metres.

Tata Motors will display a range of new passenger vehicles, while Fiat will display passenger cars from its international range. From its commercial vehicles business, Tata Motors’ displays will include buses from the joint venture with Marcopolo of Brazil, newly developed multi-axle heavy trucks, pickup vehicles, applications of panel vans, and new mini-trucks.
