CUV Interest Grows as SUV Interest Declines

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 20, 2008 -- The gap in consumer interest between crossover utility vehicles (CUVs) and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) continues to widen, according to a report released today by NADAguides.com. The company, a vehicle pricing and information website, says consumer interest in crossovers increased 14.8 percent in April 2008 compared to April 2007, while SUV interest was down at almost the same rate of 15.9 percent during that same timeframe.

NADA Market Report: Replacement Levels and Customer Preference for Latest Models Drive Depreciation

MCLEAN, Va., March 3, 2008 -- NADA Used Car Guide (NADA), the industry standard in used-vehicle valuation and information, reports the premium luxury vehicle segment experienced the highest annual depreciation rate among three-year-old models in 2007, due in large part to consumer preference for the latest new models and high replacement levels.

NADA Official Used Car Guide data, developed by NADA's editorial team and released today, shows premium luxury coupes and sedans held four of the top-10 spots for vehicle depreciation for the year, with a replacement rate of 43 percent on average.

ZAP Sells 614 Electric Cars Following Largest Dealer Seminar

SANTA ROSA, CA, Feb 1, 2008 -- ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB) added six new electric car dealers at its first dealer sales and service training of 2008 yesterday, collecting signed purchase orders totaling 614 Xebra sedans and trucks.

Electric car maker ZAP said its first dealer training seminar of 2008 was its largest ever. Six more dealers signed purchase orders totaling 720 Xebra electric sedans and trucks. ZAP has 54 sales and service centers in the United States and plans to exhibit this month at the world's largest dealer conference, NADA 2008, February 9-12 in San Francisco.

NADA to Focus on Economy, CAFE Debate and Dealer-Factory Relations at 2008 Convention

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 29, 2008 -- The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has assembled a stellar lineup of leading industry, television and news personalities to speak at its 91st Annual Convention & Exposition in San Francisco Feb. 9-12, 2008.

Dale Willey, 2007 NADA chairman, will deliver a keynote address Saturday, February 9, which kickoffs a cast of industry and media heavyweights - including NADA Chief Economist Paul C. Taylor on Sunday, February 10. Comedian and host of "The Tonight Show" Jay Leno; ABC News reporter Bob Woodruff and his wife, Lee; and former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw join the slate of speakers.
