Lancia Enters International Nautical World Forming a Partnership with the Yacht Club de Monaco

Monte Carlo, May 31, 2008 -- The car manufacturer Lancia enters the International nautical world with a partnership project with the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco. The partnership project was presented in the Monegasque Headquarters and will extend for a term of three years associating Lancia with the initiatives launched by the Principality's Yacht Club, well known throughout the world as being one of the historical Yachting capitals.

Monte Carlo, Monaco, 05/27/2008 -- Finishing second in the most prestigious Grand Prix of the year, Robert Kubica made sure he took part in the podium celebrations held in the principality’s famous winners’ lounge. It was the team’s fourth podium this season and their eighth overall. Kubica’s team mate, Nick Heidfeld, who has four podiums to his credit, had a black Sunday. Having started from 12th he had improved to fifth when Fernando Alonso (Renault) hit the side of his car on lap 14. In the end Heidfeld brought his damaged F1.08 to the chequered flag in 14th and last place.

Prince Albert II Given Keys to a BMW Hydrogen 7

Presentation at the EVER MONACO Environment Exhibition

Monaco/Munich, 03/31/2008 -- Prince Albert II received the keys to a BMW Hydrogen 7 at the opening of the EVER MONACO environment exhibition. The use of the vehicle is part of the "Sustainable Environmental Protection" programme which is one of the cornerstones of policy in the Principality. Prince Albert will be using a vehicle which can be operated practically without emissions in hydrogen mode (only 5 g carbon dioxide in the test cycle).

FIA World Rally Champions Crowned in Monaco

07.12.2007 -- The 2007 FIA World Rally Champions were officially crowned at the prestigious FIA Gala in Monaco this evening.

The Championship was fought out over 16 events on five continents on surfaces as diverse as snow, asphalt and rough gravel. It reached its climax in Great Britain last weekend, where arch rivals Marcus Grönholm and Sébastien Loeb went head to head for the world title.

Frenchman Loeb and Monegasque co-driver Daniel Elena drove a strategic rally in appalling weather conditions to claim their fourth consecutive world titles.
