The "Phenomenal Four" campaign marks the creative debut of MMNA's new advertising agency of record, the Traffic agency. - The fuel-efficient Mitsubishi Lancer continues to lead the way for Mitsubishi in the U.S. with 2,688 sales, making June the second best month of the year for Lancer. May 2008 was Lancer's best month with 3,318 sales.
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution sales were 315, up 52.2% for the month compared to June 2007.
- Mitsubishi Galant sales through the first six months of the year remain ahead of 2007, with 13,058 sales in 2008, compared to 13,008 last year.
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Announces Production, Sales and Export Figures for May 2008
Tokyo, June 26, 2008 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announced global production, as well as domestic sales and export figures for May 2008.
Production: total and in Japan
Total global production came in at 98,959 units, a decline of 8.7 percent over May last year and marking the third consecutive monthly decrease. Production volume in Japan at 62,039 units was up 7.8 percent, the 20th consecutive month of year-on-year growth and marking a new record for May since Mitsubishi Motors spun off its truck and bus operations in 2003.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Harbin China Powertrain JV Sign AT Licensing Agreement
Tokyo, June 26, 2008 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today signed a technology licensing agreement with its powertrain JV enterprise in China Harbin Dongan Automotive Engine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (DAE) covering production of 4- and 5-speed automatic transmissions.
DAE began construction work on a new factory in March this year with a view to commence production in April 2010. Plans call for the new facility to have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units and to produce 50,000 units in its first year of operation. Production capacity will be raised to meet future increases in demand.

PSA Peugeot Citroen, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Announce Cooperative Project for Electric Powertrains
Paris, Tokyo, June 17, 2008— PSA Peugeot Citroen and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced today that both companies agreed to start a feasibility study on an extended technical collaboration in the field of electric powertrains.
This project, which will run over several months, relates to the development, the manufacture and the use of an electric powertrain for small urban vehicles.
To step up the viability of electric vehicle projects and accelerate market introduction, the companies agreed that cooperation on electric vehicle development and production would be mutually beneficial.
This new agreement reinforces the bonds between the two manufacturers who, a week ago, laid the first stone of their joint Russian factory, in Kaluga (180 km south west of Moscow)
