Nissan Boosts Production of Popular Nissan Altima

Canton, Miss. plant to add third shift to Altima sedan production

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 9, 2008 – On the heels of the best sales month in history for the Nissan Altima, Nissan North America, Inc., announced it will modify production at its Canton, Miss., vehicle assembly plant to meet consumer demand. To meet the needs of the marketplace, an additional shift of Altima production will be added to the car system at the Canton plant.

Nissan North America reported record May sales of 34,428 units for Altima Sedan, Hybrid and Coupe, up 38.3 percent versus the prior year.

Dallas, May 22, 2008 – Installation of post title packages for Shelby and Ford Mustangs has gone into high gear at Quantum Performance Ltd., a factory Authorized Shelby Automobiles Mod Shop in the Southwestern United States.

Shelby Automobiles, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI.PK), has begun shipping “Super Snake”, CS8 and Terlingua Racing Team packages and components to Quantum, its third Mod Shop location to build high performance versions of current generation Shelby and Ford Mustangs for customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Canton Plant to become manufacturing hub for new LCVs

04.07.2008 , Nashville, Tenn. -- Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced it is entering the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) business through a significant investment in North America. NNA, as part of a global commitment to the segment, has announced it will introduce to the North American market three light commercial vehicles in three years and forge partnerships with Cummins Inc. for the engines and ZF Friedrichshafen AG for the transmissions.

Toyota Awards Sixth Local Contract

January 23, 2008 – Erlanger, KY - Toyota announced today that it has awarded a local construction contract for its new Highlander vehicle assembly plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi. This brings the total number of local contracts to six.

Harrell Contracting Group, based in Ridgeland, Madison County, has formed its third partnership with Homewood, Illinois-based Graycor Construction Company Inc., for construction of the plant’s utility building. Work for this project will begin in February. Harrell employs 150 people in the state of Mississippi.
