Nissan Mexicana Announces Senior Management, Organizational Changes
MEXICO CITY, México, 05.23.2008 -- Effective July 1, Nissan Mexicana (NMEX) will make senior management and organizational changes to better integrate NMEX’s growing manufacturing and allied operations into Nissan’s regional operations.
Shoichi Miyatani, president and general director, NMEX, will return to Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NML) as corporate vice president, General Overseas Markets (GOM), where his primary focus will be Latin America. Growth in the GOM region is one of the breakthroughs of Nissan GT 2012, where Mr. Miyatani will play an important role.

SEAT Achieves Its Best Result in WTCC in Mexico
Victories for Jordi Gené and Tiago Monteiro in Puebla
Martorell, 06-04-2008 -- The second round of the WTCC in Mexico has become a historic weekend for SEAT, after winning twice and clinching the top six positions in the second race. Jordi Gené won the first race with Rydell second, while Tiago Monteiro took the victory of the second race, followed by all of his SEAT mates: the five SEAT León TDI drivers and Tom Coronel with the SEAT León WTCC. SEAT and their drivers have also made a clean sweep of all the overall classifications.

Sales up 13.6 per cent versus February, 2007, marking 9 consecutive months of growth
Mexico City, Mar 17, 2008 - Chrysler Mexico reported February sales of 10,452 Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge brand vehicles, an increase of 13.6 per cent compared to February, 2007. This marks the best February sales for Chrysler Mexico since 2001 and is the 9th consecutive month of sales growth for Chrysler Mexico.

A1 Team Malaysia Looking for Strong Start in Mexico
Mexico City, 21 March 2007 -- A1 Team Malaysia will be racing in Mexico this weekend, with the ninth round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport taking place in the capital city. The Series raced in the country last season, but this is the first event to be hosted at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, named after Mexico's most famous motor racing brothers, Ricardo and Pedro Rodriguez.
The Malaysian team is joined by a new rookie driver, who will be making his race weekend debut for the team in Mexico and performing rookie duties for the remainder of the season. Aaron Lim, 22, drove the A1 Team Malaysia car in a test session at Silverstone in the UK last summer, but this will be his first experience of an A1GP event.

Mexico City, Feb 12, 2008 - Chrysler Mexico today reported January sales of 10,786 Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge brand vehicles, an increase of 8.6 percent versus January, 2007 when 9,933 units were sold. This marks the best January sales for Chrysler Mexico in the last six years and is the 8th consecutive month of sales growth for Chrysler Mexico. Chrysler finished 2007 with an increase of .1 percent, despite an overall down market in Mexico.

At the same time, more than 300 distinguished guests in Puebla also celebrated the production of the seven millionth Volkswagen in Mexico, which is at the same time the world’s one millionth New Beetle. Champ Car World Series To Appear on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC in 2008
January 17, 2008 -- The Champ Car World Series will appear exclusively on the ESPN networks in 2008 with a 14-race schedule combining live and same-day telecasts. The international open-wheel racing series returned to ESPN in 2007 after an absence of six years.
The schedule includes four races on both ABC and ESPN and six on ESPN2. The season begins Sunday, Apr. 20, with same-day coverage of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The 2.5-hour telecast will include a season preview special.
Yulon Nissan Motor Starts Export of Nissan Cabstar to Mexico
TAIPEI, Taiwan, Jan.15, 2008 – Yulon Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.*1 announced today that it has begun production and export of the “Nissan Cabstar”, light duty truck, to Mexico. This marks the first time for the Taiwanese domestic auto industry to export 3.5t class light commercial vehicles to Mexico.
Before production started in Taiwan, Cabstar was initially sourced for Mexico from Nissan’s Light Duty Truck plant in Avila (Spain) through batch production since September 2007. The initial production at Avila allowed Nissan to start sales of the new Nissan Cabstar in Mexico as early as autumn of last year, and allowed Nissan to meet the strong demand from customers in that market.
