In addition to the GS 350 that will be at dealerships early next year, Lexus completes the line-up with the GS 450h hybrid which goes on sale in spring 2012.
“The 2013 GS is the new Lexus,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “The whole package comes together in one great looking sports sedan and shows the GS offers the best of all worlds with its performance, connectivity and available options that will suit the needs of many drivers.”

“With its more engaging driving experience, bolder design and a more spacious contemporary interior, the new Lexus GS responds perfectly to customers’ even more demanding requirements" said Andy Pfeiffenberger, Vice President Lexus Europe.
Richly equipped with worldclass features and premium details, the new GS is supported by advanced, performanceenhancing technology that makes it more than just a luxury car.
Quick and smooth acceleration combined with the luxurious amenities bestowed upon the Lexus GS 350 and GS 460 make the mid-size luxury sport sedans synonymous with refinement.
After receiving several technology enhancements in 2010, the GS 350 and GS 460 receive standard Smart Stop Technology for 2011 as an additional measure of consumer confidence.
The braking system enhancement will automatically reduce engine power when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are applied simultaneously under certain driving conditions.

Lexus GS Sedans Offer Customers Four Performance Model Choices for 2009
The 2009 Lexus GS luxury sport sedan model line includes the V6-powered GS 350 and the GS 350 all-wheel drive (AWD), the V8-powered GS 460, and the only gasoline electric hybrid model in the segment, the GS 450h.
Optimized for low internal friction, the GS 350's 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 303 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 274 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 3,600 rpm. A direct fuel-injection system provides much finer fuel-mixture control to improve both power and fuel efficiency. Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) acts on both intake and exhaust valves to further enhance performance through a wide rpm range. A smooth-shifting six-speed transmission allows manual shifting when desired.
In addition to the numerous interior and exterior luxury enhancements that all 2008 Lexus GS models receive, base prices remain unchanged for the GS 350 and GS 450h hybrid at $44,150 and $54,900 respectively. The GS 460 replaces last year's GS 430, and features a new 4.6-liter V8 engine that provides an additional 52 horsepower, for a total of 342 horsepower. The new GS 460 receives a modest increase of 0.47 percent over the model it replaces, or $245, to $52,620.
