FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 1, 2008 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 50,033 for the month of June, a 1.3 percent increase over the same record-setting period last year and best sales month ever.

Hyundai Motor America Sets All-Time May Sales Record in 2008
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., June 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 46,415 for the month of May, a six percent increase over the same period last year, and its best May ever.

"We are very pleased with our results for May and the fact we were able to break the record set in 2007 for the month during a period of record-setting oil prices and a sluggish economy," said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America's vice president of national sales. "Our more fuel-efficient vehicles -- Accent, Elantra and Sonata -- continued their strong momentum with increases of 89 percent, 46 percent and 12 percent, respectively, over last year."

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 1, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 39,280 for the month of April, a 0.4 percent increase over the same period last year.
"In a pretty tough economy, we are pleased that sales were slightly up over April 2007," said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America's vice president of national sales. "Car buyers showed strong interest in our more fuel-efficient vehicles. The Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Sonata sold well reflecting concerns with the overall economy and rising fuel prices."

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., 03/31/2008 -- Hyundai Motor America (HMA) earned the highest ranking for consumer recall with its “Big Duh” year-end sales event advertising spots according to IAG Research, the TV ad effectiveness and program engagement company. IAG ranked auto commercials that viewers remembered most and liked best from November 1, 2007, to January 26, 2008.

Hyundai Announces Company's First Super Bowl Advertising Effort in Nearly 20 Years
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., 01/30/2008 -- Hyundai Motor America announced plans to advertise during the nation’s largest sporting event, the National Football League’s Super Bowl. Hyundai’s purchase of two 30-second spots during the third and fourth quarters marks the company’s first Super Bowl advertising effort since 1989.
