Continental Opens New Electronic Braking Systems Production Hall in Budapest, Hungary
Chassis & Safety Division is investing in the Budapest plant and recruited 150 new employees
Frankfurt am Main, Germany / Budapest, Hungary, May 19, 2008 -- The international automotive supplier Continental invested approximately EUR 24 million in the Budapest plant in 2007 and intends to increase this amount in 2008. The largest investment project planned for 2008 was the construction of the new Electronic Braking Systems (EBS) production hall and the installation of additional production lines.

ZF's Focus on Eastern Europe
Dec. 2007 -- ZF is focusing on growth and expects sales in Eastern European to increase by 10 percent. The aim is to gain access to the markets in the East. Any company interested in doing business with Eastern European vehicle manufacturers needs to have a local presence in these countries. All of the major volume manufacturers have developed production capacities in the East, and all ZF competitors have established themselves here. Without a presence in Eastern Europe, ZF could runs the risk of being driven out of the market in Western Europe by low-cost suppliers from Eastern Europe. The same applies to Japanese and Korean vehicle manufacturers who have been joined in Eastern Europe by their Asian suppliers. ZF wants to get in on the action as a partner for Asian manufacturers.
Start of Production, World Premiere for the 2008 Audi A3 Cabriolet
Nov 30, 2007 -- Audi Hungaria continues its success story with the Audi A3 Cabriolet.
Production of the new model was officially started today by the Hungarian Prime Minister, Ferenc Gyurcsány, and Audi's Chairman of the Board of Management, Rupert Stadler, at AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. in Győr. The production launch was also the world premiere for the new Audi A3 Cabriolet and was attended by a host of international guests.
Volvo Popular Among Hungarian Car Users
Oct 17, 2007 -- More than 2,000 Hungarian car owners revealed their opinion about their own cars and about other brands in the most comprehensive car-survey of Hungary in 2006. According to the survey in average Volvo owners are the most satisfied with their cars among Hungarian car users.
Auto2 Magazine and TARKI-Data Research completed Hungary's largest car survey based on completely new brand evaluation aspects in spring 2006. Results of the survey have been revealed only recently. The Mosaic-survey examined cars according to the aspects of motivation, satisfaction and comparison. The analysis reviewed the whole process beginning from the viewpoints of buying a car, evaluation of a car and until the aspects of exchanging a car.
