New Pulstar CB1 Pulse Plug Improves Horsepower, Fuel Economy
Ford, GM 'Muscle' Cars Can Be Green Too
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Enerpulse, Inc. has released its Pulstar model CB1 pulse plug designed for pre-1996 Ford and General Motors cars and light duty trucks.
Pulstar holds eight U.S. and foreign patents and pulse plugs were developed as a drop-in replacement for all spark plugs, including so-called high performance spark plugs. They are designed to more efficiently ignite the fuel in an engine's cylinders which increases horsepower, torque and dramatically improves fuel economy. Pulse plugs look and fit like spark plugs, but unlike spark plugs, contain an integral capacitor, which dramatically boosts peak spark power from 50 watts in spark plugs to 1,000,000 watts in pulse plugs.
2007 Ford F-150 Gets 9.88 More Horsepower with K&N Air Intake System
Nov. 27, 2007 -- The Ford F150 series is one of the best selling vehicles in the United States and closes in on the million unit mark annually. The F-150 is tailored for the person who uses it for a daily commute as well as for serious towing or hauling. K&N Engineering has designed a high-flow air intake system (63-2574) for the 2007 Ford F150 4.6 liter V8 engine.
K&N dynamometer testing shows a 9.88 horsepower gain @ 4200 RPM. K&N designers removed the OE air box and intake and built a larger intake system to open up the breathing capacity necessary for the 4.6 liter engine to get the full amount of air it needs.
