TORRANCE, Calif., March 3, 2008 -- American Honda Motor Co., Inc., posted record February sales results of 115,397 Honda and Acura vehicles, an increase of 0.7 percent over February 2007, the company announced today. American Honda light trucks also posted record monthly results with sales of 52,557, up 1.9 percent. Year-to-date American Honda total vehicle sales of 213,908 were ahead of last year, but down 0.6 percent on a daily-selling-rate basis*.

Honda CR-V, Honda Fit set monthly records, Honda Civic up 14.2 percent

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 1, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- American Honda Motor Co., Inc., posted January total vehicle sales of 98,511, a decline of 2.3 percent compared to January 2007 results.

Honda Division posted January sales of 87,343, a decline of 0.5 percent compared to January 2007. Models that broke monthly records include the CR-V, up 11.3 percent to 16,016; and the Fit, up 120.0 percent to 4,480. Civic sales increased 14.2 percent for the month to 20,993.

January 16, 2008 – Honda's sales growth in Europe has outpaced all other auto manufacturers in 2007, according to industry sales figures1 just published.

The company today also announced all-time record car sales for the European region2 of 398,960, an increase of 21.5% on 2006. This is the fourth consecutive calendar year Honda has posted record sales in Europe, and national sales records have been broken in 32 of the 37 countries in the region.

Sales growth has been strong across the whole region, with notable increases in a number of Western European markets, as well as in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
