2008-07-02 -- Eurapac Trading Company Ltd., the distributor of Great Wall Motors (GWM) attended 17th Annual 4wd Auto-Show (SALON DU 4X4) from June 12th to 15th 2008. Annual 4wd Auto-Show is the most important and most influential event in the vehicle industry of New Caledonia market. About 10,000 visitors (around 5% of the total local population) from all over the island visited this great event and about 250 units of vehicles were sold out.

2008-05-27 -- 23rd May 2008 was a great day for Indonesian WICM vehicle factory (subsidiary of Indomobil Group, distributor of GWM) - the first GW Wingle was finished in the end following nearly one-year-preparation. This is also the first time to realize the export and assembly in IKD for Great Wall Wingle at abroad.

2008-04-11 -- Algeria International Motor Show which lasts for 15 days was held in the capital Algiers on March 25, 2008. More than sixty motor companies from different countries attended this motor show. Algeria-based GMS Company, distributor of GWM, has been dedicated to exploit the market positively since the beginning of cooperation with GWM in April 2007.

Great importance was attached to this motor show and exhibited GWPERI, which is the first launched passenger car of GWM in Algeria. As an elegant model targeting to the global market, GWPERI attracted much attention at the show.

Other exhibited GWM models included Hover, Wingle and Socool as well. Algerians have expressed great interests in GWM vehicles and the GWM stand became a sweet spot of the show.

2008-04-11 -- Recently, good news came from Ukraine that Great Wall Wingle without any refitment, taken by Atlant Company, joined PROFI-Cup jeep autocross on March 15th, and was ranked No.7. This match, organized by Ukraine SUV Committee attracted representatives from 16 media outlets, including 7 TV stations, 8 magazines as well as 2 websites.

The match was held on earthen road, rough, muddy, with big turns. The whole race was 6000 km; more than 40 teams participated in it.

Leaders of PR Time claimed that the match on March 15th is just the first stage out of three stages of PROFI-Cup autocross. We are expecting there will be more wonderful matches in early summer and autumn.

29.03.2008 -- In order to celebrate Chinese Spring Festival, Chinese Embassy in South Africa held a traditional temple fair in Randburg, South Africa at the end of February.

The South Africa based distributor of GWM, Great Wall Motors (SA) attended this fair taking GWM Sailor and GWM SING with new front grill, as well as newly launched model GWM WINGLE.

Although this is only one common outdoor show, GWM still attracted much attention due to its good appearance and reputation in South Africa.

13.03.2008 -- GW Wingle pickup is the first high-end pickup produced by Great Wall Motor Company Limited. Although it entered South Africa market for a very short time, it has already attracted abroad attention due to its strong & handsome outlook and excellent performance.

In Best Barkki 2008 organized by one of the famous magazines named Barkki and Trucks in February 2008, Great Wall Wingle made the Top 3 by 8 stars evaluated by the professional testers from South Africa. This award verifies the quality of GW products and efficiently enhances the image of GW brand in South Africa.

01.03.2008 -- On 23rd of February, 2008,the Costa Rica Auto Show was held in San Jose, capital of Costa Rica. It is the biggest auto show in Costa Rica that normally comes once a year and lasts for three weeks.

19.02.2008 -- GW Wingle, launched in 2007 obtained various awards: China Annual Auto General List Best Logistic Vehicle, 2007 Annual Golden Brand Pickup, The Most Fashionable Pickup 2007, The Most Popular Vehicle in Fuzhou, China Auto List—The Consumer Most Like Commercial Vehicle, Annual pickup 2007, etc.

2008 GW Wingle

On 27 March, 2007, Wingle, equipped with high pressure common-rail electronic diesel engine run on the Tianma Hill competition court Shanghai, indicating its strong power and accelerating ability at the low rotating speed. In May 2007, GW motorcade attended China Huanta Auto and Motorcycle Off-Road Racing, and GW Wingle won the general champion in the diesel engine group.
