Lotus Engineering Invests in Low Carbon Vehicle Programmes
June 16, 2008 -- Lotus Engineering, the world renowned automotive consultancy division of Lotus has won two contracts as part of winning project consortia announced by the UK Government Technology Strategy Board. These two project consortia will be allocated part of a total £23 million for 16 innovative low carbon vehicle development programmes. Including investments from companies such as Lotus, these projects collectively represent a total value of £52 million.

The event is May 15, at Old Bridge Township Motorsports Park and is a stop on a road rally from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. Seventeen Chevrolet Equinoxes have been re-engineered by student teams using a range of cutting-edge clean vehicle technologies such as hybrid, plug-in or fuel cell propulsion systems. The vehicles are powered by alternative fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol and hydrogen.

Formula One Drivers Back Global Green Campaign
16.03.2008 -- Formula One drivers showed their support for the FIA’s Make Cars Green campaign at the Australian Grand Prix today, the first event of the 2008 season.
All of the drivers competing in the championship participated in a campaign photocall following the official FIA 2008 season photo session.
Make Cars Green is a global campaign, aimed at helping to reduce the impact of motoring on the environment. The FIA led initiative, supported by global partner Bridgestone, will be rolled-out at campaign events throughout the year.
