Lotus Engineering unveils its latest development towards carbon neutral road transport at the 78th Geneva International Motor Show

March 2008 -- Lotus Engineering, the world renowned automotive consultancy division of Lotus, unveils its latest development towards carbon neutral road transport at the 78th Geneva International Motor Show.

The Lotus Exige 270E Tri-fuel is the most powerful road version yet of the Exige (0-60 mph / 96 kph in 3.88 seconds, a top speed of 158 mph (255 km/h), 270 hp (201 kW / 273 PS at 8000 rpm) and it runs on any mixture of gasoline, bioethanol and methanol. Emerging technologies will allow alcohol fuels such as methanol, already a proven internal combustion fuel, to be made synthetically from CO2 extracted from the atmosphere.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., March 4, 2008 – Infiniti today revealed the all-new 2009 Infiniti FX performance luxury crossover in conjunction with the Geneva Motor Show. The second-generation FX, with its fusion of sports car and SUV design, will be offered in three models, including a new 5.0-liter V8-equipped Infiniti FX50. The 2009 Infiniti FX is scheduled to go on sale at Infiniti dealers in the United States and Canada in June 2008.

March 4, 2008 -- Aston Martin will introduce a revised version of the company’s critically acclaimed Aston Martin DB9 at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, which includes significant enhancements to standard specification.

These changes include a revised version of Aston Martin’s 6.0 litre V12 engine to deliver improved power and torque. Peak power of 470bhp (350kW) – increased by 20bhp (30Nm) - is now reached at 6,000rpm, resulting in a power to weight ratio of 267bhp per tonne (199kW/tonne) – an increase of 11bhp per tonne over the existing DB9.

March 4, 2008 -- Hermès and Bugatti have decided to collaborate on an industrial design project that marries their respective expertise -- the craftsmanship of the Parisian-based saddle maker and the precision automotive engineering of the Molsheim-based car maker.

March 4, 2008 -- Tata Motors today presented at the 78th Geneva Motor Show the Tata Nano, the People’s Car, and three other vehicles, the new generation Tata Indica, the new Tata Safari DICOR 2.2 VTT and the Tata Xenon.

The Nano will first be launched in India later in 2008. The new generation Indica will be launched in the latter part of 2008 in international markets. The Safari DICOR 2.2 VTT and the Xenon have just been introduced in select markets.
