Ford of Europe Holds Market Share in a Weaker Industry

COLOGNE, August 19, 2008 – Ford of Europe's total sales in its main 51 markets rose by two per cent to 1,196,200 in the first seven months this year.

Highlights:
* July market share in the Euro 19 markets holds at 8.4 per cent, although sales were down by 6.6 per cent
* Across its 51 markets, Ford of Europe sold 1,196,200 vehicles in the first seven months, an increase of two per cent vs. 2007
* July sales in Germany rose by 8.8 per cent, and in the UK by 4.3 per cent

Strong sales in Russia and the company's 30 Direct Markets helped to offset lower sales in some of the traditional 19 European markets.

COLOGNE, July 15, 2008 – Ford of Europe's sales in its main 51 markets rose by almost two per cent to a record 1,003,700 in the first half of this year.

Highlights:
* First half record also for Ford Transit commercial vehicle sales which soared to 99,400 in the Euro 19 markets
* June market share in the Euro 19 markets was at 8.8 per cent, up 0.6 per cent vs the same period last year
* Germany sales increased by 16.9 per cent in June

In the first five months of 2008, Ford of Europe sold 828,300 units in its 51 markets, an increase of 2.3 percent

COLOGNE, Germany, June 12, 2008 – Ford of Europe's business momentum continued through May despite the challenging economic environment. Year-to-date sales in the company's 51 markets have risen by 18,400, to 828,300 vehicles – an increase of 2.3 percent compared with the same period last year.

Highlights:
* Ford maintained year-to-date market leadership in the UK, Spain and Turkey
* Russian sales increased by more than 36 percent in May
* May was a record month for Transit in its main 19 markets

COLOGNE, Germany, May 15, 2008 – Ford of Europe's business momentum continued with another strong sales month in April.

Highlights:
* Sales in Germany soared by more than 25 percent and in France by 27 percent
* Monthly sales record in Russia and in commercial vehicles

Ford sales in the Euro 19 countries were up by 6.4 percent to 129,500 units, for a market share of 8.1 percent. When sales in Russia, Turkey and the 30 Ford European Direct Markets are added, Ford of Europe's sales for April totaled 161,140 units, an increase of 8 percent over the same month last year.

COLOGNE, May 15, 2008 – Ford of Europe's business momentum continued with another strong sales month in April.

Highlights:
* Sales in Germany soared by more than 25 per cent and in France by 27 per cent
* Monthly sales record in Russia and in commercial vehicles

"Our sales volume grew in 14 of the Euro 19 markets, while our market share increased in 16 of those 19," said Ingvar Sviggum, vice-president marketing, sales and service, Ford of Europe.

Ford Donations to East London Youth Footballers Reach £230,000

DAGENHAM, Essex, April 29, 2008 – A Thames Gateway community scheme, which uses football to help tackle social issues in the area, has benefitted from a further £20,000 donation from Ford.

The Thames Gateway Youth Football Project has received a total of £230,000 from the UK car and commercial vehicle market leader's charitable arm over the last eight years.

In that time Ford Dagenham, the capital's largest manufacturing employer, has seen diesel production rise to over 1,000,000 engines a year – and an extra 500 manufacturing specialists have been recruited.

COLOGNE, April 15, 2008 – Ford of Europe strengthened its leadership position in March across Europe’s 19 main markets, increasing its market share to 9.9 percent despite soft overall industry sales.

Highlights:
* March sales across these 19 markets was 187,400
* Including Turkey, market share was 10 percent and sales were 195,100
* Across all Ford’s 51 European markets, sales broke the 500,000 barrier during the first quarter of 2008
* Ford took first quarter sales leadership in the UK and Spain
* Record Ford commercial vehicle sales in the quarter.

BRENTWOOD, Essex, 14 April, 2008 – Advanced systems which alert the driver if a tyre is losing pressure while the car is in motion are providing Ford customers with safer motoring.

Ford's sophisticated tyre pressure monitoring systems detect when a tyre is deflating, and trigger in-car warning systems that enable the driver to stop and check.

Even regular tyres checks can fail to reveal if a tyre is damaged or already punctured. Ford's automated system is able to monitor the tyres at all times when the vehicle is in use and can help to draw the driver’s attention to a problem before it becomes a safety issue.

Ford further expands market leadership in provision of allergy-friendly interiors

COLOGNE, April 7, 2008 – The all-new Ford Kuga is the latest Ford vehicle to gain the German TUV Rheinland Group's "Allergy Tested Interior" Seal of Approval. The stylish and charismatic Kuga is the seventh Ford model to receive the certificate, joining the Ford Ka, Ford Focus (including the Coupé-Cabriolet), Ford C-MAX, Ford S-MAX, Ford Galaxy and Ford Mondeo. Ford vehicles are the first in the world to have passed these stringent TÜV standards. The Ford Kuga goes on sale this summer.

Chancellor's visit marks 40th anniversary of the 'John Andrews Technical Centre' in Cologne

Cologne, April 1, 2008 – German Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, visited the Ford of Europe technical centre in Cologne today. During her visit to the centre in Cologne Merkenich, the Chancellor was taken on a tour of the design studios and briefed on the work done within the complex.
