Fiat Grande Punto MY 2008 closer to the world of youth
09/06/2008 -- On 14 and 15 June, a Fiat dealer network open door event will be held in Italy devoted to the Fiat Grande Punto Model Year 2008. The model has consistently played a leading role in all international markets (sales of over 850,000 since the launch, of which half outside Italy) and has now been revamped to offer customers significant new exterior features, a new range designed to appeal even more to the young, higher value due to the addition of major features as standard such as the sophisticated latest-generation ESP system with built in Hill Holder and, last but not least, new product packages based on the innovative Blue&MeTM entertainment and communications system.

17/03/2008 -- “Grande Punto Stickers Lab”, a new Internet venture developed by Fiat in conjunction with ARC Leo Burnett, will be online until 30 April. Users of this digital workshop are asked to work with the Fiat Team to come up with new customisation designs for one of the most successful models in the range: the Fiat Grande Punto.

Fiat Grande Punto Voted “Carro do Ano 2008” in Brazil
Turin, 29 November, 2008 -- Just a few months after its South American launch, the Fiat Grande Punto was elected “Carro do Ano 2008” in Brazil by a panel of 37 journalists representing the national specialised press.
Organised by the magazine Auto Esporte and now in its 41st edition, the award is the most prestigious accolade for the Brazilian automotive industry, as testified by the top models in the running, which the Fiat Grande Punto beat with a total of 235 points: namely the Citroen C4 Pallas (208 points), Nissan Sentra (152 points), Renault Logan (146) and Chevrolet Vectra GT (134).
Fiat Grande Punto Elected “Auto Interamericana 2008”
Turin, 7 November 2007 -- Just a few months after its commercial launch in Latin America, the Fiat Grande Punto has been awarded the prestigious “Auto Interamericana 2008” prize.
Organised since 2001 by the Interamerican Federation of Automobile Journalists (FIPA), the “Auto Interamericana 2008” was assigned by 63 journalists from 19 American countries, including Brazil and the United States, which gave the Grande Punto 91 points out of the 133 available. The importance of the contest is shown by the models in contention and which the new Fiat preceded: the Mercedes Class C, Mitsubishi Lancer, Volvo C30, Nissan Sentra and Audi A5.
