BMW of North America Supports Automotive Youth Education
Corporation's Eastern Region Headquarters Provides Learning Laboratory For Students
Woodcliff Lake, NJ, August 4, 2008 -- Passaic County Technical Institute students got a glimpse of their future with the donation of a BMW 745i which will be used as a state of the art automotive teaching tool. The students are members of Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES), a nationwide partnership among automotive manufacturers, participating dealers, and selected high/prep schools. This event was highlighted when Passaic County Technical Institute received the vehicle Thursday, July 31, 2008 donated by BMW of North America, LLC (BMW NA) to the school at 11:00AM.

Applications for Program Chair Now Being Accepted
Dallas. Texas, July 17, 2008 – Carroll Shelby, chairman and founder of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI.PK), and Northeast Texas Community College have created the new Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Center to offer young people an opportunity to learn valuable skills in the automotive field. The program will include a state-of-the-art facility and instruction in automotive and body repair.
The Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program is expected to enroll the first class in Fall 2008. This intensive, hands-on program is designed to train mechanics to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation.
GM Holden, The Smith Family Give Moulden Kids a Boost
2008-07-02 -- GM Holden announced today a three year partnership with The Smith Family to provide education opportunities for disadvantaged youth. The Smith Family is a national, independent social enterprise which supports children and families living in financial disadvantage to create a better future through education.
GM Holden’s support involves the introduction of a Homework Club in the Northern Territory and provides Learning for Life scholarships for primary school students in South Australia and Victoria.
The Homework Club is a program designed to enable students of Moulden Park School and Neighbourhood Centre to fully participate in their education. Moulden is a suburb of Palmerston, situated 20 minutes from Darwin.

Detroit Science Center To Receive $2 Million From Toyota
New Toyota Theater to Support Engineering the Future Campaign for Science Education

The contribution will help support the Engineering the Future campaign, an initiative to transform the Detroit Science Center into America's premier engineering-focused museum.
