Volkswagen Celebrates the Bestselling Gearbox with 1 Million DSG
- Kassel factory has produced the dual-clutch gearbox for the Group since 2003
- Latest 7-speed DSG now available
Wolfsburg/Kassel, 05 February 2008 - DSG – three letters that stand for supreme shift comfort, economy and sportiness. Together with staff from the Kassel factory and Prof. Werner Neubauer, member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand responsible for the Components division, the management of the Volkswagen factory in Kassel today celebrated the one-millionth dual-clutch gearbox (DSG).

Wolfsburg, 17 January 2008 - Volkswagen was today awarded the ADAC (German automobile club) “Yellow Angel 2008” prize. Europe’s most successful carmaker won the award in the category “Innovation and Environment” for the latest TSI engine and its new 7-speed DSG technology – a combination employed exclusively by Volkswagen. 7-speed DSG is available immediately in combination with the new 90-kW TSI engine or a 77-kW (105-PS) TDI for the Golf, Golf Estate, Golf Plus and Jetta.
