NEW YORK, July 1, 2008 -- Daimler AG (stock exchange abbreviation DAI) today reported sales for the Mercedes-Benz Cars division (Mercedes-Benz and smart combined) of 22,121 units in the U.S. for June 2008. All sales figures in this release are on an unadjusted basis unless otherwise noted.

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported sales of 19,576 new vehicles for June 2008, bringing the year-to-date total to 119,279 units, marking the best first-half sales in the company's history.
Mercedes-Benz Sets Another Record with Best May Sales in 2008
MONTVALE, N.J., June 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported its highest May on record with sales of 21,785 new vehicles, a 0.1 percent increase over last May. Sales for the month brought MBUSA's year-to-date volume to 99,703 new vehicles, a 1.1 percent increase compared to the first five months of 2007.

Daimler, Ford to Become Primary Stakeholders in New Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation
VANCOUVER, CANADA – Nov. 8, 2007 – Daimler AG and Ford Motor Company are forming a new, privately-held company that will focus on automotive fuel cell technology and allow the two automakers to further expand their global leading position in fuel cell technology. With a share of 50.1 percent, Daimler AG will be the majority stakeholder in the new company, Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation (AFCC). Ford Motor Company will hold a 30-percent stake and Ballard Power Systems the remaining stake of 19.9 percent in AFCC.
